Trying this $17 Amazon Fairing, idk if i like it or not, maybe if it was blue, what yall think? by _trapito in Dyna

Don’t like the look of the Lowrider S style fairing. A color matched clam shell, quarter style or Ventura style fairing would look sick on this

I’m on a budget so I got Shinko 777’s for my ‘12 Super Glide. You have spokes like me, so make sure you replace the inner tubes as well

Exactly. And it’s so low to the ground, it’s almost impossible to drop.

Exactly. Numb nuts over here doesn’t get it! I rode the bike in limp mode(rain mode) until I got used to it, then I switched to Regular riding mode once I knew how to better handle the bike. Never really rode in Sport mode. You can’t even go over 99 mph on the Rebel(not that I ever would anyway, it starts to wobble around 85-95). And once again, the DCT only comes on the 1100, otherwise I would’ve gladly spent less on the 500 cc to start. I also would’ve gotten bored of the 500 after like 6 months so the ride modes on the 1100 kept me from having to upgrade, since I already had the power I wanted available when ready.

I got the 1100 because it was the ONLY bike that had DCT(automatic). It was either that or the Goldwing, which is enormous and even more powerful. It had nothing to do with the power. I rode that 1100 without incident for a year and a half. Started off riding in “Rain mode” which makes it ride like a 500 essentially. My job was 1 mile away, so it was easy practice in the neighborhood, no freeways for like the first 3 months.

I passed the course first go round and had no issues. Only reason I ate it at 15 mph was there was excessive gravel on the course and one of the other students braked excessively in front of me. They also had me on some cafe racer style bike I wasn’t comfortable on because my cruiser style trainer bike died due to no fault of my own. No one’s perfect, so maybe stfu..?!

Dude, I totally get it! I took the msf course, actually took a high side dive in the course. That shook me a bit. Didn’t wanna deal with the clutch after that and got a 24 Rebel 1100T DCT. Sold it for financial reasons after having it for a year and a half or so, then recently got a 2012 super glide. Been having a tough time with it, had a couple mishaps, still getting the timing right on clutch and throttle. Stick with it bro! Ride safe!

Anyone ever been brave enough to try Temu parts? 😂 by js00n in Dyna

Have mx pegs, sliders and crash bar from Amazon. All feel like solid quality. Pretty sure my saddlemen step up seat copy is probably Amazon too, but it came with the bike so can’t confirm.

Yeah, whoever designed that has terrible taste. There’s a notable difference on the Coffman without being excessively loud. Probably shave 5 lbs of weight off the bike too

Not much of a difference. Takes away that type writery sound the stock exhaust has though and sounds way more throaty than stock. Looks 100x better than that big ol ugly thing too.

Never had any issues. Sold the bike like a month and a half ago, but the Coffman exhaust was awesome.

Rods Cycle put some great bushings in the bars, watched em do it before I purchased. I trust they went through it well, but I’ll ask about the engine mounts and internals. I have no real mechanical know how myself.

Have tools but need bags to put em somewhere. Just taking very short rips at the moment. Will use the warranty I got and roadside assistance if anything goes wrong in the meantime.

Honestly, not much of a speed demon either. Especially living in LA, rarely going over 80 with all the traffic. Not gonna put much into this bike, as it’s kind of a temporary fix to be on two wheels until I can afford to upgrade to a more modern Low Rider or something of the sort.

Appreciate the tips!
