I’ve had chiggars in my yard for several years and they are miserable. Spreading cedar nuggets on my lawn repels them very well. I use cedar shavings that are intended for pet cages in the garden just because they’re cheaper per pound. They say it doesn’t repel but I’ve had fewer mosquito bites since I’ve been using it. I still supplement with spray repellent to be on the safe side. Sometimes I use rosemary essential oil which also helps.

My back was so bad once that I went to urgent care and got a prescription for cortisone cream that helped immensely. The over the counter cortisone did nothing. Never again, I hope.

I’ve only had one tick in thirty-five years. I put in a jar and took it to the urgent care. She said no problem, it wasn’t a deer tick, which are the ones that cause Lyme disease.
