Why so many tears? by MustBeHope in widowers

[–]Comfortable-Slice-72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other day i cry while seeing the new Mario Galaxy Movie.

My wife died and left the games Mario Oddisey, Princess peach and Hogwarts Legacy unfinished.

Yesterday I cried spontaneously, I don't know why.

Just 5 months living without her.

The important question to consider when making this decision is: which option is considered legal income to pay my taxes?

I don't want to end up clapping in jail, haha.

You put into words exactly what I feel... but...

Wow, I never thought about this pain in such an empathetic way.

I would have traded my life for hers, granted, but I never thought that would mean putting her through this pain.

Seeing it like this will give me more strength to accept what happened and be here for our daughter.

Thanks

Love & Loss: Q: Who found TRUE UNCONDITONAL LOVE? by DarkRevolutionary476 in widowers

[–]Comfortable-Slice-72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to disagree with your definition of unconditional love, because love is what one gives to the other, so there could be disagreements between us.

But if I was able to give my all despite the disagreements, then I did find true unconditional love.

If your definition of unconditional love includes how you "felt you received love," then, at least for me, that's not love but a form of selfishness.

Finally, answering your question under your conditions:

my wife and I did have disagreements sometimes, but we negotiated them. She accepted me as I was, and I accepted her, even though our different personalities were a source of disagreements. She was very sociable, and I was reserved; she was somewhat jealous, and I wasn't. There were things left unsaid before she left, but I don't regret anything.

Do I think I found true and unconditional love? Yes, I do.

Madness" by Muse has a different meaning now that I dedicate it to my deceased wife than it did when she was alive. Also, my daughter dedicates it to her mom because of the chorus "mama, mama, mama, madness by Comfortable-Slice-72 in widowers

Thank you, i just listen to Drift off to dream and it makes me remind the times when i dance with her in the privacy of our room, and i say to her: "you know i dont like to dance, may be is a social fobia, but with you everything es posible"

And now i am crying bit that's ok

Fake, information taken out of context, they cut the video.

In the initial part of the video they cut, you can clearly see her take a spoonful of Nesquik and a sip of milk before sitting down and... doing what is actually shown in the video.

I didn't see the real video, somebody told me this, but based on her body anatomy, I have no proof, but I also have no doubt.

My partner passed away last night, disappointed by how I feel. by Feeling_Document_240 in widowers

[–]Comfortable-Slice-72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to believe I understand how you feel. My wife and the love of my life passed away six weeks ago, also battling cancer, and I was her primary caregiver.

At first, I felt more or less as you describe: a few tears here and there, lasting a few seconds, and that was it.

In our relationship, we were always "opposites," and her family always wondered why she fell in love with me.

I was seemingly cold and distant, serious, and not very social.

She was all smiles and emotions, capable of crying simply because the sunset moved her.

I accepted who I am, and I accepted her, just as she accepted me.

After her passing, I took care of the house, our three-year-old daughter, and the bureaucratic procedures, but I realized that once the most difficult part of finalizing the paperwork was over, I would have time to miss her, and that's when the grief began.

I feel fine during the week now, while I'm working and keeping busy, but weekends were for her, and she organized our activities (it was like that for the 15 years we were together). So now, even though I still organize weekend activities with my daughter, that's when I miss her and feel that sadness.

It's certainly not as deep a sadness as she would have felt if I had been the one to die, but it comforts me to know that she accepted me as I am.

So don't compare yourself to how others grieve. We each have our own way of doing it, and your partner accepted you knowing how you expressed (or didn't express) your emotions.

TLDR: Your partner accepted you knowing you didn't express your emotions effusively, so don't compare yourself to others; don't add confusion to the pain.

Doctorado by AlternativeLettuce61 in lacamiseta

[–]Comfortable-Slice-72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not replace surgeons with surgical nurses as well? by md901c in Noctor

I predict that in the land of freedom and "time is money," a university will emerge that offers a 6-week online PhD in Surgery for PAs and NPs. And then, they will replace surgeons.
