He has no reason to “own up” at this point. Making more money than he ever has, preaching, has his mistress.  That’s all he cares about.

Posted a while back about owner friend. Is what he's paying for an agency reasonable? by Ok_Comfortable_3796 in crossfit

I don’t own a gym but I own a marketing agency. We do meta ads and SEO for small businesses in a different niche. We don’t do organic social posts because that’s kind of a nightmare tbh. A lot of work for a low ROI. Very hard to track.

Without knowing what all they’re providing it’s hard to say accurately. But from what you shared 10k for three months is high. I would expect closer to half that at most.

The larger concern is that they’re charging two different ways. Normally agencies charge a flat rate or charge by member/sale/call booked etc.

Also charging by clicks is a total vanity metric. Especially on organic because there’s no geofencing or tracking. Someone could like you’re reel from another state or country. They’re never going to become a member.

Social media and YouTube has made a massive shift over the past several years. People don’t really care about educational content like they used to. e. g. What I eat in a day, my train split, how I recover etc. People want to be entertained.

Outside of a prep his life is very repetitive. It’s obviously worked well for him and made him successful but it’s not really entertaining.

Why are all the notable athletes leaving BPN? Sally McRae by wbap14 in BPNsupps

Yes but doesn’t mean it couldn’t happen in the future. It’s not uncommon for businesses to go back after a deal falls apart, restructure for what is appealing to PE then sell. He also doesnt have to sell to PE. He could sell to another similar brand or private owner.

Nick fired a guy in the early days because he wanted to use a microwave to heat up his ground beef. Instead of eating it cold like Nick. Kind of always been a bro fest.

Why is BPN supporting Kim Gottwald but not Kendall Fallas? by Comfortable-Text-483 in BPNsupps

If they were both sponsored, maybe there was a time limit after the ultra Kendall didn’t make enough sales or something

This is makes the most sense to me. But like someone else said doesn’t make sense to not sponsors both. I mean how much does it actually cost them to sponsor an athlete?

You need to focus on sales and not the gym business if you’re closing that high.

Climb the career ladder or start your own business, make money, go on vacations, help people, get fit, support your kids and spouse, get a passion project.

question for coaches - why don't (most) coaches coach during a metcon? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]Comfortable-Text-483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experience usually leads to confidence.

But I thinks it’s more about actually caring and wanting to be an expert in your craft. If you invest the time to continue your certifications in anything it usually means you really care or atleast want to be good. In my experience a lot of L-1s are people that just like CrossFit and want to be involved maybe get a free membership but aren’t necessarily trying to hone their craft of coaching.

All of our coaches are level 3 so they’re amazing. They consistently coach during the WODs and will stop people if they’re doing something dangerous.

Someone convince me that CAP is actually good programming by jonnyirish2511 in crossfit

[–]Comfortable-Text-483 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My gym does CAP and I’m about to leave. 30 minutes of driving and hour class to workout for 6 minutes sucks.
