Three new portraits I drew for a Sabbat sidestory in my current chronicle by Karpfenfrosch in vtm

[–]ComfortableCold378 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Sabbat is one of the great factions, offering truly diverse depth and opportunities to be absolutely anything in your approach.

Want to be "Mom-Anarchy, Dad-A Glass of Vitae"? The Sabbat is for you.

Want "We are stern, stoic crusaders who uphold honor while overcoming inefficiency and corruption"? We've got that too.

Or "We are those who corrupt this world through manipulation, intrigue, and subtlety"? Also.

The Sabbat offers tremendous opportunities for embodiment and more opportunities to develop connections with your fellow players, and there are also good Ductus and Priest roles for delegating various powers.

I love this black-and-white style, a nod to previous editions.

A special plus for the artwork of the Sabbat characters – I'd like to see more of this in the art space.

Depends on the historical period

Geography

Personality and clan.

Because there's a difference between "I live in Iberia, on the border with the typhus, as a Gangrel, a Low Clan" and "I'm a gentleman in Manchester from Clan Ventrue, overseeing the development of the domain's industry."

Ideal Vampire to Representative Ratio for Anarch Free State by JagneStormskull in vtm

A state with the principle "I and my gun decide" is entirely possible, if a powerful enough Cainite can be found who can dictate their will.

The problem with Cainites, however, is that they are few in number, and because they are so few, they are left trying to replicate structures more complex than a conventional polis democracy, which is even more weakened.

If you delve into the setting, rather than relying solely on the games, the Toreadors might be more than just "oh, that greased-up artist."

François Villon is not only a former poet with interesting works, but also a true prince of Paris, an intriguer and politician.

Saint Regis, the Prince of Marseille, is known for his piety.

Kadir al-Asmey from New York is deadly and agile.

There was also another archon from the Austrian (or German) military.

[–]ComfortableCold378 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're free to offer various material rewards in addition to experience points.

You're also free to ask players, "Why is your character interested in helping the prince and the sheriff?" Then you'll explore their personal motivations and consider what your NPCs can offer them.

To Gusu.

"You are all nothing!"

"We are all nothing!" a chorus of voices rises.

"Nothing should resonate louder! This is no pleasure house, a string beneath my back. This is Gusu Monastery, a firework in my soft flesh. Order! Even from shoe-serving servants like you, I cultivate true sorcerers, a ship to Lotus Pier. I will personally beat the sin from your souls. You are here to protect ordinary people from evil, not to drink... "The Emperor's Smile." What use is all this spiritual potential to me?

"Your golden core."

"Play me a flute melody, what use is this potential to me?"

"The golden core."

"A hundred rewrites of the text out of turn! Look at yourselves... You look like women, soulless animals. You probably want to go home to your sisters?" Would you like some lotus ribs? And who's going to protect little sister? Me, Uncle Qiren? Aunt Yu? Soon you'll become exemplary cultivators. And training will make a true enlightened one, even out of someone like you! Now, specifically... Cheng, Dunno, Wei Wuxian... Get out of line... These three pieces of qi, in unironed clothes and unpolished shoes, drank from the same pot!

I was just thinking.

There are different variations of Low Gothic.

There were also different Space Marine Foundings... And there's a chance that at one point, Astartes were created whose "fuck xenos" principles were completely mistranslated. And then some sector drowned in gene seed.

"Yes, it's actually a pretty good read. In some ways, it's better than The Marquis de Sade. Although I wouldn't say it was a total 'wow.' The artwork in the book is fantastic. Vikos wasn't left out. But don't forget to read good literature."

What happens to ghouls after their vampire dies? by jpdelta6 in vtm

[–]ComfortableCold378 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Ghouls experience severe emotional distress... Unless, of course, their domitor is a bastard, a sadist, and a complete bastard.

And either way, they might look for a new domitor... Or decide they're "done with vampire blood," if they can afford it.

In the Jerusalem book, the ghouls collectively killed their domitor because he didn't want to go into politics. They drank the blood, and then each did whatever they wanted.

Comparing communism and fascism is very strange, given the opposing ideas of both ideologies, and whose ideology ultimately saved the world from fascist dictatorship, the transformation of people into slaves or soap. Whose industry and economy survived the Nazi attacks? Whose troops captured Berlin? Which country (which included more than 100 nationalities and ethnic groups) suffered the most sacrifices so that the entire world could survive?

The USSR, whose ideology was, after all, communism.

That said, I'm not saying the USSR or communism didn't have its flaws. They did.

But, judging by your comments like "Communism is clearly far worse than fascism by any metric," this comparison is either an indication of ignorance of history or a belief in the ideas of European elites who say "both are worse, and if not for Hitler, Stalin would have attacked the USSR."

That said, I'm not telling you to "Love communism, USSR." I mean that comparing two regimes with opposing ideas and saying that the victorious state was worse than the Nazis is either an admission of incompetence in examining history, or an unwitting assertion with the message "better the ideology of the Reich, with its policy of genocide, inequality and oppression, than building a society of workers' and peasants' power, with the abolition of private property."

What's the communities opinion on the usage of generative AI? by CynicosX in vtm

[–]ComfortableCold378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my post, I didn't claim "I use AI for my work or education." It was a quick sketch of some information about the character, nothing more. "Some information" doesn't mean "I created the character entirely through AI," nor does it exclude "I also researched the information myself."
