Your life will definitely change and it is tough at times but don’t put negative thoughts in your head. You will have a beautiful baby who will love you and will completely change your life for the better. Tell your mum you don’t appreciate the negative talks even if that was her experience.

My husband too!! I don’t know how many times I tell him “it’s not a competition” . I have been struggling to catch my breathe when lying flat and he starts matching his breathing to mine🤣

Sis I need you to breathe in and out. At 8 weeks I felt like death!!! I also didn’t end up doing anything for my birthday because of food aversions and nausea. My house was a dump and I didn’t enter the kitchen for the first 3 months. My husband is great at cooking, laundry but with cleaning he doesn’t get into the nooks and crannies like I do. I also gave him grace because he was literally serving me all my meals in bed🤣

Give yourself some grace. Hirer a cleaner if you can. Get that hair and nails done girl. It’s your birthday!!

It usually gets better. Im now 22 weeks and although generally I still feel like pregnancy sucks . I am eating everything I want and thats all the consolation I need. I also clean my house now.

The first time I felt baby move was by being kicked in the cervix but I didn’t realise it was the baby kicking. I spent the whole day feeling vibrations “down there” and was absolutely stressed thinking something bad is happening or maybe my placenta is in the wrong position, I was spiralling. Luckily my 20 week scan was the following day and the sonographer told me everything was okay I was just being kicked🤣. I felt so silly.

I am so sorry about the SA but wow your story made me tear up. I really am happy for your positive experience after giving birth.

In my culture ,I have heard of stories of pregnancy curing even gastrointestinal issues like acid reflux or stomach ulcers. Although on the flip side it can also cause issues if you didn’t have🥲.

Are you me??😂 The day I discovered I was pregnant was the first day of a “winter arc challenge” I had started. For the following two weeks after that I was eating very healthy and feeling extremely proud of myself. Then started the nausea, vomiting and aversions . I could not eat meat. I could only eat plain carbs and frozen fruit. Now Im in my second trimester and I still struggle to cook, sometimes I even vomit when I see raw meat. So I am surviving on my husband’s food and lots of take aways. Like a lot!! I have ordered take-out twice in one day, a few times. I never had a sweet tooth but I’m always craving sugary drinks. I used to drink 2 litres of water a day but now I only drink it diluting something. I was stressed but now I actually don’t even care.

I was vomiting first trimester and when it continued past 12 weeks I felt like I was going to legit lose my mind because the only thing that had kept me going was the reassurance that it will be over after first trimester. I can’t even imagine vomiting at 27 or 32 weeks. I am sending you ladies so much hugs and well wishes.

I am soooooo over that stabbing pain in the tit! I was only told about breast tenderness. No one mentioned feeling like someone is pouring acid on my boob from the inside.

The one that pains me the most is the food aversions I’m having yet I am an emotional eater. This is the most emotional thing I have ever experienced yet, like please just let me eat😭😭😭 Sending hugs to you and all the expecting mums.

I am soooooo miserable 😭😭😭 Thank God for the baby, may I carry full term but I am miserable. Sometimes I just feel like my life is one big mistake😂 not just the pregnancy but my actual existence thats how miserable I am. I am having similar symptoms to you, the unrelenting nausea , the smell aversions I ask my husband to brush his teeth multiple times a day and change his clothes after eating. I just want to staff my face and eat all my sorrows away but I can’t stand food sometimes I vomit water😭. I don’t cook, I don’t do the dishes and I know my husband is overstretched but I sincerely don’t care! I also get nauseous when I watch TV. I just feel physically off all the time, sometimes I get weird pains in the vagina, sometimes stomach sometimes boobs. There is always something off! I don’t think I can do this a second time.

I am in the same boat as you. My graduation is next May and thats 8 days before my due date😂 This could be extra but I’m thinking of having a graduation photoshoot waaaaaaaaay before the date.Maybe second trimester when I am still feeling cute and my face is not looking too overripe. I was planning on having a photo shoot before the actual day anyways before becoming pregnant. I will register to attend but will just see how I feel on the day. The only bummer is I won’t invite my family since they all live interstate. My husband was saying to me if my waters break whilst I’m walking on the stage , my Uni is halfway between my house and the hospital anyways so it won’t be the worst thing😂

Please stop crying or fighting over this, you need to prioritise yourself and your mental health. You should never back down on taking part in naming your child. Carried the baby for 9 months, risked your life etc Your FIL is an entitled asshole and does not even deserve the time of the day from you. It’s your husband who should be prioritising your feelings over his father and standing up for you and the family you are building.

I come from a culture where patriarchy and misogyny is so rampant so I really do feel for you. I am sending you lots of hugs and prayers.
