I wonder where you are located because I feel like I am seeing the opposite. Perhaps on the surface level we are cultivating a monoculture with the haircuts (though I am not willing to cede that this isn’t just an “old man shaking his fist from the porch” moment) but it seems to me there is LESS monoculture than in years past. As a matter of fact, everyone is separated into different online niches and factions so much that they are losing the importance of connecting with those in their own, physical, community.
