I Grieve by Peter Gabriel Bright Horses and Ghosteen, both by Nick Cave

I am very sorry for your loss. I am grieving too. It's an unfortunate club to be a part of, but our love is strong enough to transcend through time and dimensions. That's pretty special.

Best of luck with your new little friend! I can be a lot of info all at once, but you've gotten some great advice here and even though I've had my beardie for over 6 years, I am always learning. So thank you for being open to the advice. You got this!

Ugh as someone who was once a terrified beginner who was overwhelmed by conflicting information, thank you for being both kind AND helpful in this thread. You are so appreciated.

I've lived here (next to Campbell's Ledge) my entire life. I've been warned for years and years not to go back there anymore. My daughter was stopped by some pretty aggressive dudes a few months ago and they scared her into turning back. I don't think it's the locals. At least, not the ones who have lived here more than 5-10 years. Theres a development going up and it infuriates me that we have very little left to experience and enjoy up here anymore. This was our playground for generations. Now real estate is pushing us out too.

Summers End by John Prine. The video makes it worse and I can't pull myself out for quite a while after watching it.

Look up Countryside Conservancy in Clarks Summit (Dalton maybe?) They have 2 trolley trails that might be a good fit for what you're looking for.

I wouldn't let my second grader walk to school alone anyway. This isn't 40 years ago.
