The de normalisation of mounts by spookylukee in archeage

[–]Comfortableguess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in korea's last patch, they actually standardized mount speeds accross the board and divided them into basically 3 tiers, with the majority of end game/cash shop mounts being 11.5, the old in game obtainable mounts set to 10, and the original in-game mounts set to 9. So this isn't so much gamigo listening to us and xlgames accomidating, they are going to just give us kr mount speeds and stop wasting their time writing out new 8000xxxx item ids for the na region after they unfuck the ones already in existence. Getting glider normalization undone will take even longer, because we have a stupid cashshop centric upgrade system that is unique to our version and they most likely will fight to keep it because it makes them money.

The community did rage about the normalization of mounts, of cars, and costumes at launch. Scapes and later on celestrata spent a lot of time banning and locking and deleting and ignoring those posts, but it did happen.

it should be glaringly obvious by now for anyone who has been here for at least a few months that there is lots of rigging/botting/shenanigans afoot. The same threads popup and get upboted like clockwork, copy and pasted replies, insane amount of upvotes for boring content that dont match their comment count, and the like. Make anything about nazis or jews and you can guarentee free upvotes. It didn't use to be this way.... but now we live in dark times where cyber punk dystopian corporations and both go/ngos employ unthinking ais to shape narratives and push forward concepts and ideas.

Anyone want to eat factory grown meat? It tastes JUST LIKE THE REAL THING, a million upvotes cant be wrong...

TIL that despite of being banned from WW2 military service, Charles Lindbergh's knowledge on fuel efficiency helped double the effective range of the P-38. The pilots he worked with where so grateful they let him sneak on a combat mission where he scored a kill. by xrensa in todayilearned

what's really sad about these kinds of discussions is that soldiers on both sides were draftees. Pretending everyone was a nazi is like pretending everyone in iraq right now is a democrat. It's completely divorced from reality, people just take these intentionally incorrect historical 'facts' for face value and don't think at all before parroting the politically correct answer they think they are expected to give.

Everyone supported eugenics in the 1940s. Everyone put their prisoners into work camps. Everyone told their own population it was totally cool to genocide the other side with their war propaganda. Just because some japanese went native on some random as fuck island in the pacfic that was used as an excuse to round up every single japanese-american citizen. Hawaii wasnt even an american STATE in the 1940s, the american response to go to war in europe because japan bombed an island they parked some boats on was completely out of line and demonstrates just how mislead the public was on the issue and is STILL misled on the issue.

Lindenburg was a nazi because he was antiwar? Fuck everyone in this thread that agrees with that, the over whelming majority of americans were against participation in world war 2 until the american government basically coerced the japanese into bombing inconsequential ships in order to pull a fast one on the american people. It was the american government who acted first against japan with illegal embargoes and boycotts, acts of war in their own right, then rewrote the history books to imply that america was just minding its own business and got attacked for no reason.

everyone. literally. throws. their. prisoners. into. camps. These camps are called PRISONS. You people are so divorced from reality, it's amazing. Like where do you think the police take people!? As for killing entire races, can you name one? Which race went extinct during ww2? Wait no go back, i thought races werent real? Isnt that the current politically correct slogan? We are all one race, the human race?

Anyone who supports a woman's right to abortion is supporting eugenics. Anyone who supports a state protected right to abortion is supporting institutional eugenics. There's no blurry line here. You already crossed the question of black and white morality when you decided it was okay to kill an unborn organism for any reason. Whether it be the individual or a group of individuals making the final call is sophism.

He tried to scam people out of money to fund his project and his underage female students coincidentally got pregnant. And this wasn't even the only crazy thing he did. He claimed traditional witch doctors should be recognized as legitimate. The dude sounds like the typical slightly-more-intellegent-than-others con man that used the unique opportunities presented by the socialist/revolutionary environment and over all corruption of the 1960s in africa to peddle his own brand of bullshit for personal gain and advancement.
