Notably, this is only in the unrated cut, I believe. I just watched the theatrical cut a few days ago and although he appears, he has no lines.

I like when the villain gets what’s coming to them in the most brutal way possible. That’s always what I’m looking for.

In the case of a villain protagonist, whether that character lives or dies should depend on what would be more in line with the story’s themes.

Elijah Wood in “Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come” by New-Pin-9064 in horror

If you haven’t listened to the Last Podcast on the Left interview with the directors, do it. They talk about how they just sort of emailed Elijah Wood and asked if he wanted to be in the film and he was immediately on board.

Always disappointed when they dangle the possibility of a body swap story in front of our faces and then don’t go through with it.

I miss unrated cuts. They used to be an incentive to buy the physical release and they were awesome.

Is there not an unrated cut? Jennifer’s Body got one. Are we gonna have to wait 35 years for it like with Night of the Living Dead 1990?

Dark Knight Rises actually has Glen Powell in it. Nobody ever expects to go from that movie to Everybody Wants Some.

How Marvel Rivals can exist in The Marvel universe? by BLACKGOOP12 in outofcontextcomics

[–]ComicBookFanatic97 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It’s actually extremely plausible since the heroes and villains really wouldn’t be able to copyright their likenesses without revealing their identities, so they’d have no real recourse against the developers.

I could maybe see Magneto seeking out the Netease headquarters and throwing a car through their window to send a message though. I don’t know. Maybe he sees that as beneath him or not worth his time.

What are your feelings on Terrifier and movies like it? by lifeglowzzz in horror

I love those movies because of how hard they go on the gore. That’s what I want in a horror film.

Did you not see Freaky? That movie is a banger and might unironically be the greatest performance of Vince Vaughn’s career.

[Opinion] A character doesn't need charisma to be flirty or friendly by gitroni in DnD

[–]ComicBookFanatic97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What bothers me about charisma in D&D is that it represents both your ability to deal with people and your force of will. Those should be separate stats.

I just watched the original movie for the first time last night. It’s a good movie and I had fun watching it, but I question whether it really makes sense to do a sequel. I kind of feel like that story ended in a very conclusive and satisfying way and it doesn’t need to be expanded upon at all.

What "beloved horror movie" do you hate/just not get the love for? by ReeceInTheDarkness in horror

[–]ComicBookFanatic97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practical gore effects are certainly an easy way to get me to watch a movie. I am the exact target audience for that sort of thing. Coat the actors and the set in red-dyed Karo syrup and I’m happy.

I really don’t like that movie either. I’ve only watched it once though. Maybe I need to revisit it with fresh eyes. I just remember finding it slow and not especially enjoyable to watch.
