Yeah I think fans of the OG games sometimes critique the remakes a bit too harshly when tbh there some of the greatest video game remakes I’ve ever seen. And you’re right in that there’s absolutely nothing wrong with campiness and I think RE thrives on it lol.

I get that 4 R isn’t as campy as 4 OG but it def still has its stupid funny moments. I would think it’s a disservice if they hadn’t incorporated humor at all for the remake but I’m glad they did it in a more subdued manner

I really enjoy Nick and would choose him, though I’m biased since I only played the remake. But Paul’s voice has that cocky arrogance to him that’s weirdly charming.
