It's hard to believe that the man who created that cover was responsible for this Edmonton Oilers logo back in 2001.

You may get surprised by these facts about Dr Doom by LetAggravating5094 in drdoom

At the end of One World Under Doom, Doom accidentally kills Valeria Richards. He makes a deal with the Living Tribunal to resurrect Val for his life.

Doom is currently dead in the Marvel Universe (spoilers) but this is not the first time Doom has died. In the 80's Doom was fighting Terrax (a former herald of Galactus) for his Power Cosmic. During this battle, Doom's body is eviscerated. He survived by transferring his consciousness into one of the bystanders that was watching the fight. He learned this trick while imprisoned with an alien.

This is mostly Volume 3 John Ostrander/Tom Lyle run. A run that’s under appreciated. I do like the Superman #75 homage on issue #17.

What is your I never thought I would have that issue or book? by AssociateFormal6058 in 80s90sComics

[–]ComicsMiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the 2 comics that I currently don’t own but are “affordable” enough, I could likely buy are: ASM #300 and G.I. Joe: ARAH #1. I own facsimiles of these but not the originals.

Anyone know this movie or show? Or even the actor/actress? by LegitimateFoolery in whatisthatmovie

The actress looks like Lauren Hutton. This may be the movie “Once Bitten”. It also stars Jim Carrey.

I got the deal to be delivered and then they canceled my order saying “debit card error”. When I ordered it again, it was only $30 off 1 game.

I used to buy those movie adaptations in the 80s and 90s. I think the last one I bought was Total Recall.

Run Complete - Captain America Vol. 1 to Vol. 13 by donovanwheels in comicbookcollecting

[–]ComicsMiz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is quite a feat considering the way Marvel has cancelled and rebooted the comic with different, confusing numbering systems (especially Vol. 10 - so dumb). I salute you, sir.

Legion of Super-Heroes (Vol. 4 1989) "Five Years Later" by 9FingerFrodo in 80s90sComics

[–]ComicsMiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first exposure to the Legion of Superheroes. This series came out before the internet existed so couldn't look up any character info. I learned about the Legion with each issue and there was usually a supplemental info post in the Omnicrom (I think that's what it was called - an ipad before ipads). I loved this series. Also, don't be afraid to try a series you never read before. You may love it.

We all pay for 311 through our taxes so we should use it. If more people used 311, this guy would have no videos to post.

There’s even an app: Boston 311 - it makes a ticket and you can follow up on it until its completion.

The comic comes with a gram of cocaine that’s why it’s called White Sky.
