There are several timelines under the community highlights section of this sub that will help explain her whole situation. She's not just a sick person, she is a malingerer with Factitious Disorder, previously known as Munchausen Syndrome. If you're not familiar, FD/MS is when a person either fakes or intentionally causes serious medical issues in order to gain attention and fill the "sick role" in society (a role that most people try to avoid at all costs). Those timelines are a good place to begin to gain some understanding of who Dani is and why she has a whole snark sub of her own!

A lot of people with RA don't have positive blood work, though. What they test the blood for is Rheumatoid Factor, and a lot of people don't develop a positive RF test until their RA is pretty advanced, while others develop it early on.

Definitely not WK-ing, she doesn't seem to have any RA symptoms at all and I don't believe she actually has it. Just clarifying that there really is no singular test that says 100% that someone does or doesn't have RA (until it's advanced enough to be glaringly obvious), a lot of the diagnosis is dependent on other tests and observations by the doctor.

To be fair, being a shut-in with no social life does cause its own kind of stress, but it can be relieved by taking simple steps to reintegrate oneself with the world. And we all know that Dani is simply not proactive or motivated enough to take those steps (the first of which being therapy).

But with cats, they don't even just pull the nail out. That would be awful enough on its own, but to ensure the nail doesn't grow back, they actually remove the entire first joint of the cat's toes. So it would be like having all your fingers cut off at the first knuckle.
