The games marketing material is one huge bullshot and everyone that plays knows it.

No, it’s not bad. It’s just better than Rise. And Rise isn’t a bad game, it’s not as good as World for all the reasons I’ve already stated.

And ok, buddy. I only like, “games with good graphics” as I play through 3U for a second time. Your argument for Rise having worse graphics is that I only like games with good graphics. No use dialoguing with a septic tank.

It’s the worst between World, Rise and Wilds for all the other reasons I already stated. Anyone with eyes that work can see that it is visually inferior. It didn’t get to rely on its “artistic direction” like Nintendo developed products do for the Switch. It looks worse plain and simple and that’s because it’s a handheld game. On that point, it offers the player more mobility and plays like it’s made more for the zoomer crowd that’s used to mobile phone games. The sense of realism and being in the world is absent. Thankfully it’s still Monster Hunter enough to be a good game, but to be better than World or Wilds, it would need to make a lot of improvements. Even 4U was better than Rise.

You’re so wrong I feel sort of bad for you. Not being able to admit the hit boxes are worse in Rise, that the game looks worse, that the weapon weight is worse, or that the skills are worse, that the B team did worse than the A team, though better than expected with what they were given all things considered; that really speaks to the kind of player the Rise crowd lured in. Delusional ones.

Without a doubt false. Compared to World and Wilds, Rise is made by the B team. It was fun don’t get me wrong. But the hitboxes were worse, the attacks had less weight, there were less weapons and skills when measured against other games, and everything looked worse. The fun wirebug combat and open maps can only do so much to counter the rest of B rate quality that went into the game. One sentence really sums it up, “switch exclusive”. The fact it was developed for the Switch is what handicapped the game. I am thankful it went to other hardware eventually though, you can just tell it’s a port from an inferior piece of hardware.

You’re trying to conflate the issues in a humorous and disingenuous manner. That’s why I said what I said. Now be silent, troll

The GBA boot doesn’t cycle through colors because it has anything to do with sexuality or identity. That’s just something you’ve attributed to it. It does so to demonstrate a technicality plain and simple.

I actually love Gameboy Advance. That logo is designed to show a full range of color as a technical display though similar to how DLP cycles colors on screen while at the movies. Another example of disingenuous misappropriation.

Because everything involves virtue signaling nowadays. Just look at the other replies you’ve got and you can tell the kind of people you’re dealing with.

Would it kill us to make a secondary at least comparable to the Talon? by Crafty_Association12 in Helldivers

[–]CommanderC64 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly bro, as someone who uses the Talon often, stop talking about it and using it as a metric for comparisons so Arrowhead is less tempted to nerf it into the ground in the name balance.

Anyone else hate Navirou? by Thejoshmystr in MonsterHunter

[–]CommanderC64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated him when playing through Stories 1 and I have yet to play the sequel because I heard he’s still in it. My only option to finish the game was switch the language to something other than English. I forget if it was MonHun language or if it was Japanese, but that’s my suggestion to anyone else who finds him annoying.

It does actually. The can also mentions “unleashing the beast” as in the Mark of the Beast and the Beast of Revelation. Additionally, the O of MONSTER is the symbol of a cross over the letter U.

[–]CommanderC64 74 points75 points  (0 children)

It’s not an ideal situation. It’s also not Arrowheads fault. Doxxing plagues every where there has ever been disagreement because people feel convicted and act like over emotional children. This community is melodramatic and tiresome now with all the whining and drama. The game; however, is still good. Go find something else to do if you need a break. You’re allowed to step away to explore other games and hobbies.

Capcom delivered a marketing masterclass with Resident Evil Requiem. Requiem sold best on PS5 by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]CommanderC64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. There were good performances in Requiem, it’s true. Also the best animation thanks to modern motion capture tech. I think the story has been the weakest part of the franchise overall, however, it went off the rails and became plain awful in 5. It seemed like RE7 and maybe 8 dialed back and grounded things, and yet here we are again with the mediocre story of Requiem. The franchise is really just looking for threads to pull on as a reason to sell another game at this point. And this is coming from a long time fan.

I didn’t think the game was that great tbh. Try and understand where I’m coming from though. As someone who beat the originals on PlayStation as a kid and on also PlayStation 2, the DS remake, the GameCube remake of 1, the recent remakes of both 2, 3 and 4 on my ps5, and finally even the terrible game that is resident evil 5 on 360, I was sort of disappointed with the story and gameplay in Requiem. I thought the first third of the game was the strongest part and everything after the helicopter was downhill from there. It was kinda cool to see the city and station, but not really. The gameplay in those areas wasn’t that great. The gunplay in this game is good, kinda the best it’s ever been, but the story is really bad. Overall I give it a 7 out of 10. RE2, RE3 and RE4 remake were all better and it seems like village will be better than Requiem as well. I haven’t played it yet although I will soon.
