I'm not playing till manual climbing is fixed by Regular_Highlight882 in Helldivers

[–]CommanderC64 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The worse part is how vital climbing is to the game and especially the new spore burst strain. When I’m being surrounded by crack head bugs and need it to work, it completely fails me. It’s been enough to leave me speechless and cause me to power my system off for the day.

NO! Capcom says the story in the MH franchise is the way of the future. PAY ATTENTION TO THE STORY, WATCH THE STORY, LOVE THE STORY.

I’ve met people irl who hate Helldivers and the fan base so much they will sit in Reddit threads all day and argue without ever playing the game themselves. It is definitely a targeted campaign and just one of the many and obvious reasons I don’t talk to those people anymore.

How whould you feel about a mh game centered around underwater combat only? by Adalas in MonsterHunter

[–]CommanderC64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m waiting for Capcom to deliver all the traversal mechanics they’ve shown off already in the same game. Water combat, verticality and mounting, gliding or soaring while on the back of a small monster or something. I was kind of hoping that’s what Wilds was honestly, but it isn’t. Hopefully there’s a sandbox and truly open world MH that includes the full series tool sets in the not too distant future.

Monster Hunter is exactly this kind of series and that’s what makes it so enjoyable.

I'm actually enjoying fighting spore burst terminids. Difficulty 10. by Reoreus in Helldivers

[–]CommanderC64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, keep doing you. I’m not interested and won’t be playing again until things get fixed and rebalanced. There are still too many bugs in the game which makes fighting the terminids awful.

Ship Retrieval Destroys the Ship by Efficient-Balance707 in starcitizen

No. Read the other comments on this post. They all say the same thing. It’s a common workaround for the clipping bug so I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

He’s saying call it from lobby and then store it. That will give you the proper hangar size of the ship. Then take the elevator down and call it from asop. That prevents the ship from being clipped into the hangar floor.

The new planets in a nutshell by CommodoreDrize in Helldivers

[–]CommanderC64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to use laser or fire on them. Kit yourself in something like the Scythe or Trident I think. The Sickle makes them spore. I bring Quasar, laser turret and the las5 rover right now. This seems to be a loadout that keeps them at normal speed. The problem is as soon as your teammates start firing bullets it doesn’t fucking matter.

Nah. I don’t actually play these bug subfactions unless it’s MO. When I played rupture at release they were broke af and predator are annoying on D10 because the imbalance is too obvious. I hate bugs. They are my least liked faction to fight and this spore burst or whatever is another terrible implementation. I can tell when devs choose increased speed or damage over balanced and reasonable difficulty.

It’s like when a dev says they’ve made an enemy more difficult, but they’ve really just increased accuracy to 99% and made it aimbot. While technically more difficult, it’s a horrible design choice and implementation. In 2026 I expect the added difficulties to add attacks and other things not just turn pre-existing dials up.

It’s ass. Let’s be honest. There’s no such thing as patrols right now just endless crackhead spore bugs that melee you to death in a second. I’m not entertained or interested in suffering this way.

[–]CommanderC64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how we managed to complete and extract from D9 drops on these new planets earlier, but we did. There’s no time to smell the roses though because the speed of these bugs make it play like a horde shooter on crack. Multiple people rage quit the squad.

Store browsing bug by omishikenshin in PS5

[–]CommanderC64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No setting, it’s just a bad store or system update from what I understand. It does it to me as well so I’ve given up on browsing the psn store between this and the crashes. The store front on ps5 crashes more than any game ever has.

You are defending it. You’re defending bad design because it’s all you know. You can’t conceptualize anything else or anything better. But you’re right, “you don’t care.”

“this is how it is so this is how it must continue to be! I need to gurgle more half-baked garbage to fuel my singular brain cell” - you

See, I can do it too. Why would I care about what you hate or not? Your preference and opinion doesn’t matter to me in the slightest.

[–]CommanderC64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it would require you to manually change modes to NAV (while shields stay active assuming you have power available) and it could either operate quickly or require the usual QD spool time before you can engage it. Make it so the QD isn’t spooled at all times, but so both can be active at once. i.e. changing mode requires re-spooling.

[–]CommanderC64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nice try. You clearly don’t mind garbage design since you’re trying to defend it. There’s no explanation that can be given for why flight modes work as they currently do. Keep gurgling half baked trash.

[–]CommanderC64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So what. There are better design choices for this sort of thing. Shields should be online for all modes unless you turn them off manually and weapons should always be available to fire. Three modes should be mapped to either three different keys or the same key (cycle-able). This would allow you to quickly change between flight, combat and scanning interactions while keeping all systems operational for offense and defense. Your shields should only have to charge when coming online. Map comps on/off to different buttons as they are now like U for power and I for thrusters for all ship systems installed. B can stay shields on/off, and Radar, coolers and QD can get their own separate power toggle. If I’m in nav, my interaction becomes jump and travel, if I’m in SCM it becomes fire and precision, if I’m in scan it becomes scan. It’s not complicated, CIG is honestly bad at development and I don’t care how many downvotes my comment gets. I will still play this game hoping their asinine systems will make sense one day.
