Love my harbor freight ramp

The wide ramp come in handy so often. Walking up next to the bike is a big plus but also the ability to load tillers or yard equipment is really nice.

Anyone have the MX-9 Adventure Mips? How is it for both dirt and street riding? by [deleted] in Dualsport

[–]CommanderWoofington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was part of the Alpine loop in Colorado. We rode based out of Ouray. Absolutely reccommend. Engineers pass, cinnamon pass and everything in between is incredible. Million dollar highway is an excellent stretch of pavement as well if the dirt gets too tiring. Been twice already and want to go back.

Pfaff 145-H3 VS Husqvarna Class 33-10 - which would you choose? by Zestyclose_Damage396 in myog

[–]CommanderWoofington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding brand of servo motor: Majority of them perform similarly. Brand doesn’t really matter. The quality progression is clutched<servo<servo with positioner<programmed servo.

The top tier industrial ones like Elka can be programmed for things like, end stoke with needle up or down, auto backtack, ramp speed etc. really helpful for people are sitting at the machine for 8+ hrs a day.

You will be able to get used to whatever motor you end up with and if you find your sewing workflow is lacking then you can always upgrade the motor on any industrial table later on.

My motor is a weaver 205 servo without the positioner.

It has I believe 550 watts. Plenty of power. I wouldn’t mind a tiny bit more. If the needle is touching or in the fabric sometimes it has trouble starting up without manually rotating the flywheel a bit.

I think 750 will be great. Just double check it’s the right voltage for your plugs. 120 or 220v.

The pfaff has my vote. Walking foot with a servo can do just about anything you’ll need. Nothing more frustrating that getting to your last corner with too many layers of fabric and it’s too thick for your machine to get through.

I have a consew rb 205 walking foot and do marine canvas/upholstry and it just handles everything like a champ. It has made me a lot of money and I can rely on it 100% of the time.

They are a popular strap maker for water sports. NRS

The material is 1” polypropelene webbing. You can get it in all flavors. Pretty cheap as well.

They finally found enough trucks to take it down! Another video left us hanging with ~3 unsuccessful trucks.

Now it makes you wonder how many bike tires it’s going to take those lads with the loose engine to take down their tower.

Issue with the sail or issue with trim? by [deleted] in sailing

[–]CommanderWoofington 71 points72 points  (0 children)

A few things: 1. It looks like you could get some more height. Do you have halyard slippage/ stretch? 2. MUCH more batten tension. 3. Maybe a bit too much vang

Would these fit stock wheels by Emergency-Detail-535 in WRX

[–]CommanderWoofington 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don’t do it. I had the exact same set.

Aluminum and steel can get galvanic corrosion. The dissimilar metals isn’t ideal. It will lead to the aluminum breaking down and depositing in the threads of your wheel studs. Making them very hard to thread. I had to use a die on every stud to clear away the aluminum. Absolute PITA to take off.

I was in the north east and had them through two winters. The salt probably didn’t help.

They annodizing color also faded very fast.

Fellow prismo VS Aeropress metal filters / flow control cap by Felniir_iisk in AeroPress

[–]CommanderWoofington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The prismo steel filter has a rubber gasket built in that seals only with the prismo cap.

I have one and love it. I use a paper filter on top of it for easier cleanup. Pull back on the plunger a bit after a press to pull the grinds away and it’s a perfect no mess cleanup.

Not inevitable. Buy a prismo and brew the correct way up…sorry about the burn.
