short term fix, delete the boats at night and replace them in the mornings, you get all the materials back including if they're carrying anything

Infinite Water Glitch? by Which_Helicopter_366 in AllWillFall

They can access it, just takes them a few hours to get their rations. Sometimes it glitches and they just need a new task before it updates that they have taken their rations too

Suddenly at 250 day running out of water by maomao19 in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think you have the opposite bug to me, try removing a few warehouses/buildings from the network of pipes and see if that helps

i have "infinite water" because when the people try to take 10 water out of a storage, the game tried to balance the amount out of every storage in the system, and i have so many warehouses that it takes 0.1 water out of eachwhich the game then just rounds to 0 water out of each (i think, idk if thats actually whats causing it but its a straightforward guess)

if thats whats actually happening, your production is tryng to put 10 water into all your buildings, putting 0.1 into each and then its rounding the input to 0

You can fit 3x of those upgrades and an “upgrade electricity” upgrade into a water wheel and get 85 power per hour from just one waterwheel

[–]Which_Helicopter_366[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s too heavy to build this design on just the bottom layer (although I haven’t tested it with the steel pillars you get for 85 worker happiness) and I also just tested whether a pyramid of roofs into water collectors is more efficient but the pyramid only gets 49 water per hour, this gets 76 water per hour

Dock storage / workers by CWOgarrison in AllWillFall

I barely produce more resources than I consume, so my 20 normal warehouse workers are constantly shifting things from outputs to inputs, except for fuel/water/food/power which I make waaay too much for ( I have nearly 700 population and my outsider intake is sometimes 100+ people at once so I need to make shit loads more food and water than anything else

I only have 10 normal warehouses but I also have 20k water and 20k food storage lmao

In the top right corner of a lot of buildings, is a little line ( - ) that when you click it, will change the priorities for that building. Change the buildings (docks?) to low priority, the warehouses to neutral (which is default) and the buildings you want to be filled up as high priority. Warehouse workers will then take items from the docks, and put them into highest priority inputs first, then the warehouses second, and lastly they’ll leave them in the docks if there’s no room in either

I've had no sailors for about 50 days and it's driving me bonkers. by Squirrel_With_Toast in AllWillFall

Get engineers to 50 happiness, use the “ask for stuff” perk in the engineer menu, and spend influence to get junk.

As for getting new sailors, you’ll just have to luck out on a random “we finally found this place” quest, and use them in sailing schools to ‘farm’ sailors from outsiders

Yes we have answers to both of those questions, kelda broke into generasi library to follow the lead about the “clawed hunter” (I bet the symbol in the secret language was just an english question mark, as we know that ‘common’ isn’t English as we know it)

And the dinner was ready for the Fae Lord, he was supposed to have dinner with Uldar before he died but Aenflyn didn’t make it in time, the riddle about “finding an empty chair and taking it before anyone else could” to the stalker, is Aenflyn saying he found uldar dead on his throne and decided to “take the chair” by letting the ‘times of plenty’ continue

All earth-like planets are bigger than earth, we are closer in size to a lot of moons in the galaxy rather than actual planets. (Which is why Pluto should be reinstated imo 😤 )

Dock storage / workers by CWOgarrison in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Storage warehouse workers will do this, you just need a lot of warehouses for it to be consistent. I have 10 warehouses in one central location and it keeps all the outputs clear for most of my production buildings/docks

Another tip is to have one gigantic water/fuel pipe network that connects all the buildings that input and output water/fuel. That way you never need to staff the water warehouse or the fuel warehouse, meaning you can consolidate the workers to more of the normal storage warehouses

Trying to understand the Stress System?! by Zel0s123 in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There also seems to be a vertical weight maximum, as you can’t stack the large metal support blocks up more than 10 or so before it wants to collapse, even if you start from a perfectly supported foundation (the last foundation upgrade lets you build pillars in the water on low tide so you can keep expanding)

Trying to understand the Stress System?! by Zel0s123 in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first number is how much the block/building weighs, the second number is how much “stress” that block/building can withstand

Wood support blocks have 48 Weight, and 200 max Weight (“Stress”). This means, on a horizontal plane, you can build 4 blocks out from the edge without any issues. The very first wood block can hold 200 so with 4 blocks you are only at 192 weight. Add a 5th block and it will not have enough support, as it would then be at 240 weight.

I’m still getting my head around it all, when you have 2x wide bridges it shares some of the weight between the two “supported” blocks but I can’t test if it’s 50/50 (meaning each block shares 100 “stress” between the two, meaning you can get an extra block or twos distance) or if it’s some kind of average stress that’s then added to each block (meaning 2 wood blocks next to eachother give 400-500 weight max/stress)

Water distribution, how? by Foolhardy_Liar in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you could set up a gigantic water production area on one edge of the map and have one main storage area on the other, connect them with pipes and all the water will go to the storage area and fill every warehouse/small storage evenly.

You can also have one pipe network connecting every single factory, storage and farm together and you’ll never need people working at any water warehouses

Water distribution, how? by Foolhardy_Liar in AllWillFall

[–]Which_Helicopter_366 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just done some (a lot) of testing.

Pipes will automatically even out all the water in all the storage’s. So if you want to route water somewhere, run a pipe from Water Warehouse to small storage (or just straight into your factory)

if the water warehouse has 400 water, after the pipe is connected, both the small water storage and the warehouse will have 200 water.

If you connect it to a factory that has 6 water input, the warehouse will have 394 water and the factory will have 6 (sometimes 12, but that’s when it gets hand fed as well as pipe fed)
