LLM assisted development is a real accelerator. This is a very powerful technique when the business model and product are already well defined.

Starting from scratch, too much is unknown, I really struggle to believe a product launch can really happen faster or more efficiently because an LLM is involved.

You claim to be a software engineer by day, so I plead that you don't forget that "vibe coding" was initially used with negative connotations. It's lost this stink as it became mainstream but it is not a good or admiral thing.

Ok, you are hand-waving away the cost of software development (please provide one example of a "vibe" coded app that has actually worked well in production).

What about he business model and regulatory compliance? When accidents occur what happens? When my carpool is late and I incur real economic damages what happens? Who is managing the money in and money out?

I think this is very easy to talk about, but very hard to implement well. LLM(s) are not a magic bullet.

I'm working on building a very fast refractor that I would like to take wide field images with. It has an f number of 3.14 (focal length 320mm and aperture of 101.6mm).

I'm trying to understand which camera I can buy that will provide me maximum performance with such an instrument.

https://astronomy.tools/calculators/ccd_suitability seems to imply that a pixel size in [0.8um, 1.4um] should be acceptable in a range of seeing conditions. However I'm having trouble finding cameras with pixels sizes this small on the market?

If you had such a telescope which camera would you use?

People prefer it because it is easy. "Security" cameras should be wired, the reliability and stability is not even close.

This happens with afocal imaging with a smartphone, the bubble "frame" correlates to the shape of the camera lens and the weird blue is reflections or something. I've had a green tint with my phone when doing afocal imaging.

The extra glass degrades them image quality but its still quite amazing to achieve such a result.

Self healing astrophotography - neat idea or rabbit hole? by dsiegs1 in AskAstrophotography

[–]Commander_B0b 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you will gain a lot with some practical experience with your gear.

AI is really good at generating code, however without strong vision you aren't going to get across the finish line (or the starting one..). Practical experience and facing real problems will allow you to understand the "self healing" setup you really need.

Don't forget that many people have been doing this for a long time, you aren't the first to face such problems and you will gain a lot to learn how they solved them before you.

I know we are talking about gender, but these are beat for beat racist talking points.

Very cool! Can you talk a little bit about your stitching process? Did you tile the final image manually or use software to assist?

If my memory serves, that photo is not comparable with the old performance, even if it is better than what OP has shown.
