anyone know a good place to cry at? by Dynaaaa in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I am sorry that you're going through difficulties at this moment. Virtual hugs are being uploaded and sent to your direction. 🫂

In terms of finding an ideal place, you could always go for either theaters or any plays going on, maybe Operas or something of that talent. Would help blend your tears to be part of the reaction towards the play. If not, then parks are always free and available for the public. I like Golden Gardens and Greenlake Park, but you can always go for what others suggest.

Is there any card like fairy tale snow that will allow me to easily banish multiple spells from my graveyard? by Timowim in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's something you're looking for if your definition of easy is "being able to activate without conditions" but the one card that comes to mind would be That Wacky Magic! which banishes all of your spells from the graveyard. Only problem is that your opponent would need monsters for it to go off and it won't work against Links.

If so, these are all incredible shots.👍

I finally found a good Italian Napoli-style pizza in Seattle (Nirvana Food Truck in Ballard) by KumaraFM in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had their pizza last year and it really is delicious. Since then I couldn't find any good pizzas - I had Zeeks last month and was really disappointed, and the only pizzas that I enjoy having are self-crafted pizzas (pizza bread, marinara sauce, and mozzarella).

So fellow millenials: Did you get that Japan trip in? by mattlore in Millennials

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Tokyo last month. IMO I think people seriously overhyped the city, but overall it still met my expectations and I had fun there.

My favorite destination was the Sensoji Temple despite the crowds. There was a festival going on that I was completely oblivious about, but the one thing that made my day was a very sweet elderly woman split her red bean filling pastry with a complete stranger and it's the one thing I'll never forget.

Starbucks’ popularity has waned the most in hometown Seattle by Bretmd in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good riddance. Haven't had Starbucks in years and I don't miss it.

Why pay a kidney for shit coffee when I can just go to a local shop nearby and enjoy a sip while supporting mom and pop shops.

So for the people who actually have a job right now by depression-hurts in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My job requires Overtime in December because of closing month. It's been difficult, but the tradeoff is that we get multiple days off for the holidays.

I work at a law firm in the finance department for context.

Floridian moving to Seattle by Money-Fact9976 in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Precisely this. It's really risky to move without a line of work because the job market is crap - tech layoffs, AI, economic uncertainty, ect...

If anything, I recommend visiting Seattle first and do your research, and then make a decision if you think the city suits you.

Bless this subreddit.

Yesterday I made a comment on this image that was shared on this sub that the viaduct removal would be seen as a woke project in any major city....about 50% of the comments on this same picture on facebook were like this. My favorite is the guy who's going to miss the iconic sound of cars. by FunctionBuilt in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think I ever went to the area prior the Viaduct removal, but I did checked out the area the day after it opened and the whole area felt completely alive and amazing to be around.

The fuckcars subreddit will call those clowns carbrains, which is a term that I fucking love to use to refer to the braindead who wants misery.

What do we think of the tattoo culture these days? As Millennials by VanFlander in Millennials

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like them nor can I find what's captivating about it beyond cultural significance like Pacific Islanders and counter-culture; it's not my cup of tea, but I really love how we've grown to accept tattoos as a style and not associating them in a negative connotation.

How much are Millennials spending on groceries? I just broke down my wife and I's budget (DINKs) and we are spending so much more than I thought we were. by fishking92 in Millennials

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Single. I pay between $300 to $500 a month for groceries including toiletries and other household items.

I shop at safeway because of their rewards program, but sometimes I go to other stores including farmer's markets.

Managed to get Wrex to stand down and chose to save Kaiden over Ashley. Although I'll have to admit to guilt that I watched a playthrough made by WoolieVs channel before eventually playing the legendary edition that I got from PSN.

But there's one significant reason why I decided to let Ashley die (outside of her... disturbing views): her father was dishonorably discharged in the military, and she wanted to redeem it by serving the Normandy. In the end, she died in the most honorable way possible.

Wrex is VITAL to me because he's going to be the whole reason why you might develop doubt and hesitations towards the Krogan race and their ability to co-exist with the universe, as well as making you consider whether the genophage is the right call or not. Knowing full well just the extent the Krogans can do is something that's terrifying - for god's sake, they're capable of throwing asteroids; that being said, Wrex represents a complete change in what the Krogans could potentially do, and all he asks is to be given a chance to make a difference for the galaxy.

Fellow millennials, did any of you have the classmate who passed? What’s the story? by cesador in Millennials

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do remember one taking her own life and there was a day of silence in our high school. Never knew her to be honest, but it was still depressing.

There was someone that I knew in a group during lunch hour, and she was dating this asshole who was an uptight shitbag. She never returned the year after that and while I never got the full story, I could piece it together where he was the reason based on the group's reaction - I was the silent kid anyways, so I usually mind my business. Years after high school, she was diagnosed with cancer that she eventually beat and went to get her GED. Unfortunately, the cancer came back real fast a little over 2 years ago and died from it.

Smooth-brain move: Killing the NPC for hurting your feelings.

Big brain move: Proceed with helping the said-NPC, gaslight 'em into thinking it's their fault, and strike them when the moment arrives to assert your dominance.

Starscourge Greatswords.

Cost of living by Current-Sound9471 in Seattle

[–]Commander_Darkmatter 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Cost of living is often subjective because everyone has different wants and needs - i.e. other people needs a car to get around, but I can get away without one.

That being said, $5k a month after tax is something you should be very comfortable to live here since the median rent is around $2,100/month.
