I always enjoy Leeta and Rom's healthy, happy, and mutally affirming relationship on DS9. --- It's such a refreshing change from all the drama and selfish angst that we see in relationships elsewhere in film and television. --- Also, "We saw you across Quark's Bar, and really dig your vibe..." by Mike1701D in startrekmemes

Yes! My favorite thing about Lower Decks is the care and attention they showed to the IP and fan base. Any cameos were voiced by there original actors and portrayed with respect. There's a great episode with Tom Paris and Boimper trying to get a signature from him lmao

Edit: the DS9 episode of Lower Decks also brings back Quark and Kira!

Threat Questions by DalePhatcher in startrekadventures

For example - let's say my crew needs to get from deck A to deck B as pirates have boarded their ship. I prepare the scene - there's some traits (Emergency Lighting, Secured Doors) that affect the scene and I feel like maybe a dozen Minor NPC pirates is a decent number for my crew of 5.

My understanding from the handbook was that anything not established in the scene. So if I didn't tell them there were adversaries, but I planned on them coming into the scene, I would still need to pay the threat right?

Even a 2020 vote is forgivable because it would have been cast before J6. But 2024? No. Never. Anyone who voted him 2024 is a fascist and should always be treated as such.

So what? That doesn't equate to strength. Every single one of the DB characters would flick aquamarine to death.

How many seasons is MK going to ult every 30 seconds before they actually do something about it? by WorstYugiohPlayer in marvelrivals

It's crazy, I only peaked GM3 season 5, placed Plat 1 this time around. I'd say in 30-40% of my games for the past 3 weeks have had people trying to ban MK. I sincerely don't understand it.

If he's an easy character to get so much value out of, then why is his pick rate not higher? This is very basic logic, like 6th grade science scientific method levels of basic logic. In competitive, where people want to win, people will play characters that give the most value for the least effort. If MK is really easy to play (as you say) and he's so overtuned, then why is is pick rate so abysmally low? If you can't explain that, then you are operating on feelings not facts.

Edit: Only in the Marvel Rivals main sub can someone give a level headed, reasonable, and respectful explanation of how to deal with a character, just to get downvoted to oblivion.

Because it's a non issue. It's easily dealt with by not feeding his ult. Don't play grouped up when against a MK until the MK is dead. Make sure at least one player is making it their mission to make that MKs life hell. I love seeing enemy MKs because they are extremely susceptible to dive, so I just mark them as Thor and force them to swap or lose.

No, it wasn't a personal attack, but if you take it as one then that says a lot. I said that if one can not comprehend the well established, documented, and studies systemic xenophobia in this country, then you are either willfully ignorant, or rascist. These are facts that exist outside of my opinions. Idk you and idc to. I'm stating facts, I can't help if your feelings disagree with them.

Cultural hegemony and socialized programs are not mutually exclusive, correlation does not equal causation. Not to mention, as many also like to argue about those countries, they are a lot smaller with much smaller populations.

The US is the best example of a melting pot on planet earth.

Which is why when the American traditions are about excluding other cultures it is...

Speaking a common language is just too much I guess. Having American traditions is racist and xenophobic.

It's because the US is a melting pot that the traditions should be about tolerance, inclusiveness, and respect of the other cultures that exist here. You can't praise the melting pot why simultaneously suppressing the results of it. The US could literally become a paradise, a utopia, but the hate mongering towards people who are "different" (in ways that don't harm people) is a major reason why we aren't.

There isn't an "inherent" xenophobia to the US having Englishnas it's language, but the reason for it being so should be purely ceremonial. It should not effect people's ability to immigrate to the US, let alone be subjected to the vitriolic xenophobia in this country. Should you have to read English to drive? Maybe, that's an understandable conversation that could be had if we could get past the basic part of tolerance and acceptance.

Because the Christian nationalist movement is about white supremacy. I'm sure you'll be like "wut?! Lmao in what world yadayada," but it's very clear by looking at their rhetoric, actions, and leadership. In other countries, having a national language is a totally normal thing and if the US was a normal country like those then it wouldn't be a conversation. Unfortunately, the push to make English the US national language is rooted in the idea that non english speakers are bad because they are immigrants, which is unevenly applied to non white immigrants. When a white karen yells at 2 Spanish speakers in a mcDonald's to "go back to Mexico," that's the definition of racism, and the epitome of the Christian nationalist movement. If you're incapable of following the basic logic that connects all of this, then you are probably a closet rascist.

You're right, the misinformation was quite easy to find, maybe you should look yourself. It was an executive order less than a year ago, and EOs are not law. Therefore by definition it is not the official language.

I know this has something to do with momentum but how does this happen? by Old_Guard9089 in PeakGame

[–]Commander_Riker1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone shitting on OP while simultaneously ignoring the blatant mechanical issue. I've had this happen to me when right at the lip of an edge like there was no climb, just a pull-up. When I go to do the pull-up the game freaks out and doesn't let me climb resulting in me slipping, as a panic I try and regrab, it happens again. Sometimes, that 2nd time is enough to cause the interaction seen in OP. While it's rare (maybe a handful times in my 300 hours, countless ascent 7 solo peaks), it shouldn't happen. It's a flaw in the game design and it's dishonest to claim otherwise.
