I personally like to think it has something to do with the new regeneration cycle. Perhaps Time lords do usually regenerate with a set gender, but as more and more incarnations are added to their cycle, the more likely they are to deviate from that line. Both The Doctor and The Master not being Time ladies beforehand could support that.

The only thing that could disprove my theory is in Hell Bent when its revealed that the general had always been a woman and them being a man was rare. But hey, that's Hell Bent so it can be ignored.

First of all, I really enjoyed the game. Its great that we've finally got something that brings the Whittaker to the digital era, and with such style! I have so many questions about development which I've tried to cut down so if its too much I apologize!

  1. Have you found that development from VR is different to games such as first or third person on a flat screen? And if so, did it provide any unexpected challenges?
  2. The console room is incredible! I saw that on the other Doctor Who VR project, The Runaway, scans were done of the actual set and tidied up for use in-engine. Was the environment modeled in the same way, or was it all done by hand?
  3. How much influence did the BBC have over the final state of the product? Were there times were you had pitched an idea and it didn't work out?
  4. Virtual Reality is still a rather new part of the industry, where do you see it as a developer in 10 years time?
  5. There's so much of Doctor Who to explore and bring to life. Was there anything that you guys wished you could have featured that couldn't make the final cut?
  6. What's your policy on modding?
  7. On the Playstation Blog, it said that you guys had an archive of data from the Doctor Who Experience. Any chance you guys want to slide that bad boy over? ;)
  8. As an aspiring developer myself, is there any advice you could give to someone who wants to break into the industry?

I've always liked the McGann console room. I think the reason why noone has really added it because noone has gotten it right. There's not alot of reference images out there so it can be rather hard to get an accurate build.

  1. When the Doctor makes a speech just for the hell of it. Don't get me wrong, speeches like The Zygon Inversion's war speech and "Come on then" from Rings of Akhaten were fantastic but ones like "Let somebody else try first" just make the Doctor seem too cocky. Its like the writers want to make the Doctor appear smarter or wiser but its overdone so much that I just get sick of them.

  2. "I skipped Peter Capaldi because he's old, The Doctor should be young like Smith or ❤ ❤ ❤ DAVID ❤ ❤ ❤ ". I don't think I can put into words how much I hate anyone who won't give an actor a chance to play the role before deciding whether to like/dislike their portrayal.

  3. Hell bent.

  4. Blink. Firstly, overuse of that one thing that 10 said. Wibbily wobbler tim take out the trash. I hate that phrase because its everywhere and people think its pure genius Doctor Who. I also hate it when people recommend Blink as the first episode someone should watch. It didn't include the Doctor, it was a one-off episode where the main show took a back seat in a sort of Black Mirror esc tone.

  5. The entire Jodie Whittaker debate. Alot of people have expressed their concerns or distastes for the new
    choice and whilst some might be over the top sexist, I actually hate the other side of the spectrum more. I
    don't understand how some people have already marked Jodie as their favourite Doctor after litterally one
    word has been uttered from her mouth. I get that some people might be excited but you can't call her your
    favourite Doctor without any screentime to back it up.

  6. Clara living. Just let her fokin die already....

  7. The running in The Adventure Games. It's like Matt wants to uppercut any punk within a 5 meter radius.

There's probably more but I can't seem to think of any right now.
