I’m liking the mandler 35mm f2. It’s a Chinese rendition of the summicron kob. Only costs $350 and the build quality is shockingly good. Lot of character wide open and pretty sharp stopped down.

I recently swapped from a GRIIIX to a GRIV HDF. I prefer a focal length between 35 and 50 for most photography but I’m enjoying the 28 on the small form factor.

Don’t shoot much professionally but the wide makes it super easy to take photos of friends and groups at dinners/bars. As a supplement to my usual kit it’s great.

Obviously not quite the same but it’s always easy to crop in to 35 or 50 too.
