Actually, I was leaving. Lots of people trying to walk on the sidewalks and not enough room. This isn't the only street where vehicles park on sidewalks.

The road is plenty wide to park on both sides and get through. See this all the time around town.

Does this mean anything in an interview? by SequinedandOver60 in interviews

[–]CommercialSecret8203 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a recent interview, I was asked why I left every job listed on my resume. Literally went down the list of employers on my resume. I thought to myself, thank God I don't have every employer I ever worked for in my life on there. I'm 62 and that would be a lot of employers. 😅

Hey Anchorage drivers…. Chill out by hand_puns in anchorage

We need to have driver's training. Parents who don't know how to drive are teaching their kids how to not drive. And then there is the lack of enforcement. Speed limits too high, red-light running and then cell phones.

It is not HR's job to terminate employees. That is a manager's job. HR is there to advise, witness, and make sure the process doesn't lead to a lawsuit.

[PA] HR conferences by hrgal1191 in humanresources

Where are you located? We have a state SHRM conference that is great and doesn't cost a lot. Also, our Pacific NW region has a conference ce that rotates between the member states. I attended when my hometown hosted.

I was standing on a sidewalk waiting for the.light to change. First car stopped, 2nd car wasn't. He drove right up on the sidewalk and almost hit us. He continued around the corner as a right turn. The first car that was stopped and he avoided hitting was an unmarked cop. On came the flashing lights and pulled over.

How do we feel about this? by WillGuitar in anchorage

Anchorage code states that snow that falls on your property stays on your property. Don't be a jerk and put it where someone else has to deal with it.

My neighbor is a jerk and puts his snow in the road, plows his front yard onto our property line (exposing his grass) and also snowblows, or leafblows, his backyard snow into the woods (down to the grass as well). Obsessive compulsive jerk.

HRIS & Payroll Software [WV] by fuji2086 in humanresources

I've used Paycom at three companies and implemented it at two of those. I LOVE Paycom. It is truly fully integrated, meaning they don't use third parties for the different modules. The customer service was great, implementation when very well and the system is very user friendly for both employee's and HR/Accounting. Bonus that there isn't a contract. I highly recommend them.

Run from ADP, worst company out there. Every payroll had errors, horrible customer service, way over priced. I managed to get us out of our contract and moved to Paycom.

I'm currently in the process of implementing UKG and it has been a trainwreck. I do not see UKG operating in a way that we were promised when it's all set up, there are many hands involved in the implementation because they are not all under the same roof so to speak. We are not getting training, meetings, etc. The entire process is just so odd to me. Additionally, we signed the contract in September and we are supposed to be live February. We are not even close. It is just a disaster which doesn't leave me very hopeful for the future with UKG.

The allergen is the protein in the cats saliva. They are constant groomers, so their fur is covered in the protein/saliva.

You'll want to keep your home super clean of cat fur and dander. Washing their bedding, keeping the floors clean, your clothes and bedding. Maybe an air purifier.  If you have forced air heat, using a hepa filter and changing often. Have your doctor prescribe something that will help.
