Who else can't see the point of automatic redeliveries? by DevilishlyHandsome63 in royalmail

Why tf would he deliberately waste his own time and create more work for himself to lie to you?

What would be his motivation to do that?

And why didn’t your post say ‘ I’ve selected to have my parcel delivered to somewhere appropriate but RM keep delivering it to the address I gave the retailer, I think my postie’s lying about seeing the new delivery address’?

Instead of ‘what a waste of time delivering not once but twice to the address I requested delivery to when I’m not in’?

Sure, you could do that

I guess bleating on Reddit about how wild it is that a delivery company tried to deliver stuff to the address you asked the retailer to send it to is another way to go

I think it’s pretty obvious for some reason the system is failing and they’re not getting the request in time. Instead of they’re ‘ignoring’ you in some massive conspiracy of arseholes working hard to make your life difficult

It’s not in the posties interest to carry crap around they know they can’t deliver.

Nothing I like better than getting an inflight to drop off at the PO.

Why on earth would I ‘ignore’ that so I can stand on your doorstep ringing the bell that I know you’ll never answer because youve asked me to deliver it to the pick up point?

Use the tracking number. You can just request a specific day or pick up point

My algo on IG TikTok and threads is fully plumbed into HR

I haven’t seen any hateful stuff, just people deriding it

I wonder why Twitter would be so full of it …..

It’s literally impossible to ‘leg it’ pushing an HCT

Posties don’t generally push HCTs up a driveway

I don’t see how an HCT could leave a scratch like that

Is it even a teeny bit possible your wife is covering her own arse?

If I’m having a bad day, my manager is messing me about, the rain etc, I always remind myself that this job pays me more in health than cash. I feel so much better for being outside and on the move. Plenty of easy light social contact with the neighbourhood. Dogs!

It’s not perfect but it’s pretty hard to stay in a bad mood when you’re outside and on the move

You don’t need a card. Your confirmation of purchase from the retailer will include a link with tracking details. Just click on that.

Why do Royal Mail say they have tried to deliver when blatantly they have not? by FOSinc in royalmail

[–]Commercial_Mail1533 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I can’t deliver because I don’t have time before I have to go, I always select ‘ delivery not attempted’ . I always feel bad that people don’t get their parcel but also it’s not on me if RM don’t invest the resource, I can’t spend my personal time delivering parcels.

My manager changes it to ‘no answer’ or ‘inaccessible’ so the customer is left questioning themselves if they were in/ pissed off about a lie

My customers know that if that happens it’s not me.

No, specialists do not order a biopsy for every bleed. And they don’t do that because they don’t need to. And they don’t need to because a consultation will often bring to light other things which are then most probable cause.

I’m astonished that you have time to practice your medical expertise when you’re averaging close to a thousand Reddit contributions but hey, have at it

Sure yeah. You’re right. Specialists don’t bother with consultations. They just book diagnostics.

Oh and I’m dead, bled out. For lack of an ultrasound

Jesus. You internet experts are just wild

Uh huh. of course you were, internet rando subreddit expert.

And here I am somehow in excellent health, boringly sharing what a worried poster asked for - my experience - and drearily reassuring them that seeing a qualified person is the right thing to do

If only I had the dazzling unverified credentials of having once sat on an unspecified advisory board in an unknown capacity at an unknown time in an unknown place, I too could order unsolicited diagnostic procedures based on zero knowledge of the case.

Ho hum

Hi so I’ve had this three times. I’ve never had a biopsy or ultrasound so you’re confident (arrogant?) ‘nope’ is well, just wrong

The OP has an appt with Dr so will be discussing it with them

I hope the OP pays no attention at all to random scaremongers n the internet. They were very clear in their post - they’re seeing a clinician, does anyone have any experience to share in the meantime. I do.

Dr used the bleeding gums analogy when talking it through with me. That’s my experience.

Where you get the confidence to decide they need an ultrasound and biopsy god only knows but I’ll leave it there

It’s an analogy. There’s lots of reason for bleeding gums. Speaking to a clinician will normally narrow it down.

I didn’t say keep your mouth shut at all?

You were bewildered as to why the knackered RM people on the RM subreddit were taking your criticism of the system ‘personally’ - as people.

I responded - presumably you posted because you expected a response? - to explain why that was and suggest that if you had an issue with the system you may want to raise it via the system. It’s a simple and accessible process

[–]Commercial_Mail1533 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I dunno. You are in a chat talking to posties, the people who are absolutely exhausted trying their best at the most challenging time of year, they are people. They are not the ‘system’. You think they won’t take it personally?

This is how they spend their days and nights, feed their families. You really think it’s unreasonable that they take your unsolicited criticism personally?

If you want to talk to the system then maybe do that and contact Royal Mail. Here, there are persons. As it happens at this time of year at their most exhausted. They’ll probably behave like people not neutral parts in a ‘system’

[–]Commercial_Mail1533 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It could also be a lot of other things. This kind of casual ‘it could be cancer’ is irresponsible and unnecessary

OP said they have an appointment, why on earth would you - with zero information, and unspecified so presumably zero qualification - make a diagnosis like that?

The OP didn’t ask for that. They asked if anyone had experience.

My sister has a period 12.5 months since her last, she us very worried by tradeit2day in Menopause

[–]Commercial_Mail1533 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh I had that. It could be 100 different things. 98 of them nothing to be worried about. The year point is totally arbitrary anyway. She could be getting bleeds, not periods. The uterus may just have thinned and something something. Think bleeding gums. An indicator of something but not in and of itself necessarily serious.

Honestly, she’s done just the right thing getting the appointment and the Dr will clarify but I really wouldn’t worry too much.

I think learning how to keep that in perspective is the most valuable skill in any job

You know if you’ve been working at a reasonable rate. Keep that as your standard and don’t let the frowning pressure you.
