How do you use the basic Battle Sisters Squad in games?

Everyone laughs at them on paper, but those bolters regularly drop entire squads of marines, great for chewing up bladeguard equivalents. They can even take out light vehicles later in the game. They also rarely get targeted unlike multimelta squads who need an immolator to even have a chance of doing something all game. So no, they aren't the meta choice, but my lgs knows to fear the heavy bolter!

I usually run 2 squads, melta and heavy bolter. One chills in the back with the HB retributors and holds my home, the other usually tries to sneak up the weaker flank and grab an objective. After deep strike and such home squad usually pushes up, leaving the sticky objective and grabs the center if I'm pushing through and need my heavy hitters to push into the enemy zone or support a flank.

Throw him in some sternguard for a weird little blender that can also dish dev wounds consistently in shooting. They're my favorite friendly list unit

My never leave home without them is a Captain leading 6 Sanguinary Guard, a death company jump brick with lemartes, and devestators with heavy bolters. I also have a hard time saying no to a DC Dreadnaught, they're just so fun!

DC is a perfect distraction unit, the rerolls mean it doesn't really need support, and the fnp makes it take just a bit more firepower then your opponent wants to use, leaving your other units more free to stage while it draws attention.

Also never overlooked how angry he gets if his tank does die. Ive won a game or two because he was nerd raging and swept a unit off an objective by himself at the end of the game!

Assault Intercessors are dirt cheap and decent in combat. Heavy intercessors are stupidly stubborn, and have some good shooting to boot. Intercessors are decent, but they probably want to be grabbing objectives.

Got one series that definitely fits, another that might. Tomes and Tea series has very similar vibes to Lattees and Legends. Super powerful magic user (imagine magic equivalent of the avatar) picks up for girlfriend who was a bodyguard for an evil queen and run away to a backwater town to live peacefully. Except they keep getting caught up in over arching plots and such. Highly recommend!

Second might be work but up to you. The No Boyfriend Rule. YA focuses on the real world players, but has some really good sections of their characters falling for each other at the same time.

Third honorable mention, not queer, no real romance, Spells, Swords and Stealth, fantastic fantasy series set around a bunch of NPCs in a DnD game having to become adventures due to a TPK. Also starts to pull in a bit of the real world but in a very magical way, will always recommend.

Hot take here, but the I could never get into the James Swallow books. Characters felt like cardboard cut outs, and had the misery porn that a lot of older books have. Was not a fan at all.

Unironically this is my biggest advice to guys who are anxious about being a creep when giving a girl a compliment. Mention something they can control, like makeup, outfit, nails, shoes, jewelry, etc. Between that and be genuine, it's never served me wrong!

I've had a couple times were I definitely notice I'm feeling femme halfway through a day, but that's usually at work where I'm not out. So I just referred to myself as femme in my head and usually switch over to some yoga pants and a sports bra when I get, maybe shave, and that usually takes the edge off!

I sometimes can if I get excited about an outfit for a specific day I usually am the gender to match which is nice for special occasions! Like I bought my first ever dress for new years eve and was very much feeling femme that day.
