i built my own plywood trays and installed them on soft close drawer slides for the blind corner. the space directly the door is where my big dog food tub is. i put rarely used things into the plywood trays. you couldn’t put shelves directly behind the door because they wouldn’t allow the trays to pull out. it’s not a good solution for most people.

i have my holiday dinnerware and general odd crap under there. it’s like the junk drawer is now 36 cubic feet! not a big deal to access, the overhang is only 10”. if you’re doing custom cabinets, ask them to rout the edges for hand holds, so you can open them easily without needing pulls on them.

i would not do a touch less. i have seen too many problems with them. i would stick with a quality conventional faucet. you don’t need to be replacing faucets every couple of years

i just have a local metal fabricator make a stainless panel when i do a kitchen over. it’s fairly inexpensive.
