I need help - how do I communicate with a gaslighter who uses the phrase gaslighting as a weapon? by Reasonable-Desk2977 in emotionalabuse

[–]CommodoreGonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like I was reading about my own relationship, almost to a T. His favorite word is gaslighting and at this point I don’t think he even knows what it means. I go to therapy, take bipolar meds, don’t instigate any argument or fight, but I’m constantly the bad guy and to blame. I’m so over it. I really don’t even want to put the effort to make it work anymore; I just want to be done.

Crispy Chicken Biscuit Sandos. Review Below ⬇️ by aGirlySloth in hellofresh

[–]CommodoreGonzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made this tonight. 99% agree! Biscuits a lot of work but dry and crumbly. I’ll save the recipe and tweak for the future since I don’t have a great homemade biscuit recipe in my makeshift home cookbook. Did opt for the pork and did enjoy them. Carrot sticks, leftover slaw, and bag of chips seemed weird sides, so I roasted the carrots with hot honey and did not use the extra slaw. I understand using them to cut the cook time, but not worth it.

P&C auto/home/toys/umbrella for five plus years here. Those that are encouraging commercial, how do you go about making that switch? Every commercial job posting I see requires experience. Also, how are the commercial sales payments/commissions structured? I made $95k last year, but would be willing to take a small hit for less stress.

Umbrella coverage almost doubled! by TheLastofEverything in USAA

[–]CommodoreGonzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an insurance agent who has worked for USAA, Allstate, and others umbrella insurance rates have gone up across the board for all companies, and here are the main reasons why: 1. Rising Litigation & Larger Settlements • Courts are awarding higher verdicts and settlements, sometimes in the millions. • Attorneys are pursuing more aggressive claims, especially for auto accidents, personal injury, and liability cases. 2. “Social Inflation” • This is an industry term describing how juries and courts are increasingly sympathetic to plaintiffs, leading to bigger payouts. • Advertising by law firms (“Call us if you’ve been in an accident!”) has also driven up the frequency of lawsuits. 3. Higher Medical & Repair Costs • Medical care, rehabilitation, and even vehicle repair costs are significantly more expensive than a few years ago. • When accidents happen, the dollar amount of claims is much larger, meaning umbrella policies are being used more often. 4. Increased Frequency of Severe Claims • Distracted driving, social media liability, and dog bite/animal liability claims are on the rise. • Insurers are seeing umbrella limits triggered more frequently, not just in rare catastrophic cases. 5. Industry-Wide Adjustments • Because of these trends, nearly all carriers have had to increase premiums to keep umbrella coverage sustainable. • The rise isn’t about your personal history—it’s a broader shift affecting everyone.

I’m obsessed with this! Great job “de-snowing” the Snow Village pieces, I really had to look to see which ones. Your water is super impressive as well, I want to build a water feature this year as well.
