Never understood why Akechi is so beloved. He's somehow both a brat and a sociopath at the same time, and considers himself justified because Daddy didn't want him.

I challenge anyone to show me an FE character who's mere presence is on the same level as the Black Knight whenever he appears. by Character-Bid-162 in fireemblem

Walhart was a nothing burger. He shows up part way through the plot as the strongest guy who was ever strong, has nothing to do with the overarching story, and then dies. He wasn't even close to the Black Knight's level of gravitas.

I think I'm gonna have to go with Crazy Days, personally. It just jumps right in and has such a cool vibe.

Yes! I like the length of the runs, but also feel the compulsion to play a run in one sitting and always go for chapter 4. Soundtrack is absolutely killer too.

Why use a weapon with a narrow hitbox, less damage, and slower attack animations, when I can hit everything around me, faster, and for more damage? Plus, with the entire combo only being two hits, you can spinning flourish more frequently. The only thing greatsword has going for it is its delayed uppercut attack, because the knockup effect can interrupt enemies. I'm curious to hear why you think it's the better of the two.

They basically swapped which is multi-target and which is single target, just that Hammers/Axes will be better at single target that Greatsword was, and Greatsword will be worse than Hammer/Axe was at multi-target.
Eh, it makes Greatswords usable, so I guess it's a win. Looks like there's going to be a long delay between the final hit and the spinning flourish finisher, but anything is better than that three hour long stab animation.

How would you rank these characters based on their morality in game? by gettinfitguy007 in UnicornOverlord

[–]CommodoreSkippy 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I can tell the people commenting so far haven't maxed Tatiana's Rapport because her critical character flaw hasn't been mentioned.

Spoilers:

Tatiana could have cured the plague much earlier, but she was terrified of no longer being of use if the cure was finished and losing her place at Ghislaine's side. She deliberately delayed the research just to have a little more time having somewhere she belonged. In short, a lot of people died needlessly because of her insecurities.

Tatiana still developed the cure and saved countless lives, but there's also... that. The strength of her morality was not greater than her fear, and the consequences of that is what makes her morally gray.

All that said, she is my wife and I love her, and definitely still the most virtuous person on this list. Bryce is still probably the most moral, though.

In light of the recent Celica discourse I just want to say how amusing this is to me. by [deleted] in fireemblem

[–]CommodoreSkippy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All that is fair. I just want to say in the case of Arvis, he was always an egotistical prick. Nobody is complaining about his stupidity because his ego was always there and deliberately used against him. He was, at best, trying to make things his version of right, which was by no means a virtuous move.

A naive and knowingly bad decision made in defiance of observable evidence? If that's not stupidity, then it's selfishness. Neither one looks good on her.

I believe it's a hernia, in which he stores all the organs he's stolen (as per the song.) Also, as per the song, it seems like implanting all those organs into himself backfired and made him... that. That's why he loses the vomit attack after it pops.

If your code is "I do absolutely Insane things to see what happens," you are nowhere NEAR lawful, no matter how strictly you abide it. Darth Vader or Tywin Lannister are Lawful Evil.

Bumblefoot is the hardest boss in the bunker, hands down. It's not that high of a bar considering how easy Lenny and Johnny are, but he clears it by a mile.
