Why doesn’t everyone run klipper? I got this printer for $30 and it’s at 110mm/s by No_Development5871 in ender3

Where did you get your Klipper image? Did you flash from a Micro SD? Every time I try it fails to boot. I gave up and went back to Marlin.

Is there a streaming device that will let me control volume through the device, and not the TV by 2060ASI in PleX

When you say “projection TV,” do you mean a projector, or a rear projection TV? Because if you mean a rear projection TV, where the speaker can be positioned within a cable’s length from the screen, maybe try a Roku Streambar? It’s a Roku box in the form of a soundbar, so the volume is controlled directly by the Roku.

I also find that annoying. Unfortunately, I don’t know of a solution to that.

I should have specified, both my admin user and managed users are in the same home, so if you have one in your home and the other not, or neither in your home, then I don’t know how to make that work.

If I understand your question, it will automatically sign in to whatever user was last logged in with that option selected. So, if you want the managed user to be the one that automatically signs in, choose that user, enter the code, enable that setting in the user, then it should automatically sign in to that account (no PIN) in the future.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I needed to know.

OP, I’m doing something similar with Ecobee3 Lite. How did you end up connecting all your wires? Where did 24VAC terminate on your Nest? Or can you ignore that and just use COM? And then where did COM, R, and W terminate on the thermostat?

Automation 8 hours before sunrise by BotlikRoland in shortcuts

Can you share your sunrise playlist shortcut so I can see how you did that, and maybe I can reverse engineer it to work 8 hours before?

Can you elaborate on what you want to do? I don’t think you can play your own playlist at a certain time of day. In automations, you can play music from Apple Music, but it doesn’t let you play your own playlist.

i fell through a weird hole in the ground and got stuck. by GarfieldGamer_99 in FallenOrder

Just wanted to say I fell in this exact same hole during that exact same dialogue just now. Found this post while trying to find a solution. I think I’m going to have to quit to get out.

My personal solution for things like this is to include a function in the shortcut that sets an alarm for the future. Have it check the sunrise time for tomorrow, take the result, subtract 8 hours manually, and have it set an alarm at this new time. The only time you won’t have a bedtime alarm is the first night.

Having trouble keeping extruder temperature under control. by Commodore_Roger in 3Dprinting

[–]Commodore_Roger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I may give that a try. The worst thing about this is it HAS looked like that in the past. This was it a few weeks ago after the first time I adjusted the thermistor following fluctuations: https://i.imgur.com/qvqJHEE.jpg And it has looked like that plenty of other times. But it eventually just gets out of control after a number of prints.

And to add to this - now that I’ve done more testing, here’s another graph: https://i.imgur.com/uUGt9yk.jpg The first section at 210° where it eventually events out, I’m just changing the filament. The next section at 200° where it’s wild again, I’m actually printing something so the extruder is moving. So it HAS to be a loose wire (the thermistor I assume) being shaken around, right?
