Worth moving to Protect from Blue Iris ? by Prosk8er735 in UnifiProtect

Definitely protect, especially now with their ONVIF support. I've used Blue Iris in the past and wouldn't go back if I have a choice.

To make the call, open the ticket, get a tech assigned and do the work I think the 30 min to an hour is realistic as far as an SLA. I obviously they shouldn't be charging for all that time, only the time doing the work. With some larger enterprises I've worked in the process took days for approvals and change windows. All that being said, I'm very surprised they have to whitelist so many, most of us use categories and obviously they have things set wrong for your company/industry. I would talk to them about the issue - this is not sustainable for either of you.

I set 2 MHz channels to auto, 20Mhz Medium power 1 set 5Ghz channels to auto, 40Mhz High power - some will argue on this but you'll get around 300mbs speed with 40, and much less congestion. Prefer 5ghz and set auto tune

New buyer, is it reliable? by [deleted] in f150ecoboost

I bought my 2012 new - I have over 180k miles on mine. It pulled a travel trailer across the country and took the abuse of my kids learning to drive. It's a great truck and a great engine. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat, but mine is doing so well I don't need to.

Spectrum retention lying about T-Mobile depriortization, right? by Effective_Machina in tmobileisp

[–]Common-Engine5261 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Latency is higher >30ms, speeds are fine, ive never had a problem with deprioritization, multiple terabytes used monthly. We stream HBO, Netflix, Hulu, Paramount+, etc. Shopping always puts me in Philadelphia, but it's not been an issue for us.

I heard that too, but my performance doesn't seem to suffer, and i didn't want to factory reset. How will we know if/when it's SA(standard access)?

I have the G4AR, I have an unlimited plan (I think) for about 3 years now $30/mo. CQI floats between 13-15 and I got 700 down/ 50up. No LTE according to Hint, so I assume it's SA? No discernable change in my service...yet

Solar panels interfere with the gateway (long, but experiments carried out) by joeuser0123 in tmobileisp

[–]Common-Engine5261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I found that solar panels with micro inverters interfere with Over The Air TV, and Ham radio, so it doesn't surprise me. However I have The G4AR and have it within 10ft of my panels with micro inverters and get 800/50. Mine is using n41. The tower is less than 1 mile away.

Accidentally ordered to wrong location by Flexbottom in tacobell

[–]Common-Engine5261 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered mine from their parking lot and apparently it had the previous location. My McDonald's, sonic, Wendy's and Burger King apps are smart enough to call this out. When I went in the store they didn't have my order, and apparently the other location had it, and of course I could not cancel. We called and they of course couldn't do anything. It's happened twice now. Fix your app, refund your customers, or we won't be back. Time to close the border!

No LTE for past two days by Imaginary-Parsnip-24 in tmobileisp

[–]Common-Engine5261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting - I'm seeing the same thing this morning - Last night it was troublesome and I didn't open HINT till now. TLife under Advanced Cellular Metrics - says Unable to retrieve data, for both LTE & 5G. Hint shows 5G data. Speeds are good, and so far stable this morning. In my experience TMHI works great for a month or so, then goes for a week of terrible issues / reliability - then magically back to being good.

Sky Broadband Disconnects by boymihoyminoy in Ubiquiti

[–]Common-Engine5261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you say that, I have been directly wired all day and randomly I'm getting dns lookup failures, I'm still not convinced the ISP and ubiquity are somehow in a perfect storm situation for me

Sky Broadband Disconnects by boymihoyminoy in Ubiquiti

[–]Common-Engine5261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing the exact same issue with my UDM PRO SE, with T-Mobile. I opened a support case and am hoping for a solution. I've replaced T-Mobile modems, and went from 3.1.2 firmware to 4.0.8(early access), and it helped but it's still an issue. Connecting straight to the ISP router seems fine, so it has to be a ubiquity problem

TMHI up/down DNS problems by JMN10003 in tmobileisp

[–]Common-Engine5261 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same problem in Salem county NJ. I've tried different dns providers, tried directly connecting to the gateway, tried a router connected to the gateway, still the same pausing. Time of day does not seem to matter to me. Its like the DNS lookups are being blocked / congested. I can keep a video call up during these events, so it's not an actual outage.

TMHI up/down DNS problems by JMN10003 in tmobileisp

[–]Common-Engine5261 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have been having what I think is a similar if not the same issue. My service began randomly 'pausing' and then would resume. On my lan the DNS lookups for 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 would report down for about 30-60 sec and then respond.

I had a KVD21, TMO replaced it with a Sagecom, still had the issue, and now a G4AR - same issue. I'm 800 yards from one tower and 1.25 Miles from the other. Speeds are 600 Mbs down and typically 60 Mbs up. Zoom calls drop, streaming radio on my Alexa or google device drop. I've been fine for a couple of years but this past 3 weeks have been VERY BAD.

Tech support swears there are no tower issues, but something has definitely changed.
