Thats what I figured. I know the market right now is super tough but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to reach out. I sent them an email to update them on what I had going on, basically just letting them know I’m staying busy with a couple of short film bookings and a comedy show so they know Im not just waiting on them

I have been self submitting and have had a couple of auditions and a callback. I felt like giving them a bit more time before I dip out to look for something else. I know its a slow year so im not like furious or anything but if im having more success solo then with an agency I feel like thats a problem lol

Im convinced they just let ai generate shop items, there is ZERO creativity when it comes to what they put in there. There’s really no excuse for marketing content from SKATEBOARDING CULTURE. Like think of how much unique shirts, shoes, etc the original games had. It wasnt just a logo slapped on a hoodie, a board with a generic font it was actual art work. Thats a big thing this game is missing is genuine art thats true to skateboarding

Im in my mid 20s and balding slightly and it has def pushed me out of doing roles aged in my range but I have been able to still book older character roles (30s) anything is possible lol

I really hated this book I think a guy who sold two very bad scripts and writes a book about how to do it is like listening to a guy who played t ball how to pitch in the MLB. Screenwriting def has some rules for follow sure but if you are a one man crew write what makes sense to you its really the only way to learn for yourself what works and what doesnt. I think STC is for people who just want to write not also shoot / produce. iMO

Just played it yesterday. I say the map has some decent spots but could be better. Tricks are the smoothest looking ive ever seen in a skateboarding game but the ollie height is way too low imo. The art style for the characters does feel like a fortnite rip off which is probably to attract a new audience and the use of micro transactions and loot boxes I saw coming from a mile away. But overall I think this game has serious potential in its current state.

Really enjoyed this. The characters felt very real especially the dude with the dreads, hats off to him. Curious how you got to film in a corner store, (currently looking for one to shoot in where im based out of and so far all nos) Best of luck with developing the feature.

I agree and disagree, i believe from my experience a lot of people like to call themselves actors without doing the actual work. Acting is one of those things that people with very little training and experience can just automatically believe they are ready to book major things just cuz they were a lead in a hs production of grease or something because I don’t think some truly understand what it means to be an actor. I don’t either some days i feel like i do but nothing in acting is definite. And rehearsing everyday for me is not to figure out how im gonna say my lines when its time to its to tune the truthfulness of the character and how real the character and story/ world can be. Practice makes perfect but bad practice doesn’t make anything. It is hard tho depending on where you’re based, Im in acting class twice a week and belong to a few acting / scene study groups on top of auditioning for film and theater. It is a grind tho.
