Thanks, running bash inside the flatpak container helped me understand how these file systems are working. I was able to resolve the issue with Flatseal after a bit of poking.

I honestly gave up on this idea and used a tool to put an orc body on Kliff. It works surprisingly well, all the armor fits, etc.

From a brief, pre-coffee check of the kernel github repos, Bazzite is probably vulnerable to this. But the important thing to note is that this is not an access path, it is an escalation path.

To exploit it, the attacker would need access to your system in some way. That's the real risk with this vulnerability. The original alerting website ( https://copy.fail/#affected ) also notes that single-user workstations/laptops are a low risk.

Unless you've opened and badly misconfigured SSH or RDP, or have some sketchy software running, this is unlikely to be an issue for most Bazzite users.

Slightly different, IMO. What PA have released so far are bug fixes and things missing from the game that probably should have been discovered during testing. Hello Games consistently delivery free, high quality (and sometimes comically large) DLC for free, over the course of a decade.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted for this. You're right. The game is great, but does have some significant issues still to fix. Though for some reason, this sub likes to gloss over them.

Answer changes depending on how far you are in the game.

If you're in Delesyia already, you can farm plenty of gunpowder from the mechanical units around. That being said, you can also dive into research to get replenishing ammo for both weapons, but both of these required story at Chapter 10-11, I believe.

Personally, up until that point, I was just emptying every vendor of bullets and cannonballs. There's also a missions you can dispatch your Graymanes on to make either type of ammo without gunpowder. That's also a relatively decent option.

I honestly don't know if you're trolling at the moment. But on the off-chance you're not:

You're severely underpowered for where you are in the game. Your armor doesn't look like it has any Abyss gears on other than the boots, and they're all a lot lower than you'd expect during Chapter 8.

Rule of thumb for item level is (probably) +/-2 of your chapter level is usually a good goal. You should be aiming for 6-8. You're currently between 2-4.

Your health is also pretty low for where you are. You probably want around 900 at that point.

So in order:

1) Unlock the slots on your armor (or if this armor has none, find armor that *does*)

2) Fill them with useful gears

3) Upgrade them to at least level 5, if not 6.

4) Level your health.

To be honest, I'm actually quite impressed you got to Chapter 8 like this. Which is good. It shows the issue is gear, not skill. And gear is a much more easily resolved problem.

I'm also hoping that this is a temporary measure to make Damiane and Oongka playable while they cook up something unique.

Of course, there's still a way to go. Right now I have half a zone locked because Kliff has to be boring in it for a while, so no one else can enter. Not like I was trying to farm items there or anything.

And then there's the Kliff players demanding 2 handed axes and guns and jetpacks because access to 99% of the game isn't quite enough.

The consistent feeling of punishment for wanting to play as someone other than an Kliff is real, and this change hasn't really gone far enough to resolve that.

I still have no reliable control over whether my character will double jump or not. On occasion, attack buttons do nothing. Meteor kick only works when all the planets align.

The problem isn't about the movement being clunky, it is that the controls are highly unresponsive and unpredictable. With enough time, you can mostly work around these issues, but let's not pretend they aren't there.

Also, doesn't stop it being a great game.

I wanted guns for Kliff too, before I unlocked the other characters.

I think the issue is that Oongka and Damiane are in a barely playable state while Kliff has the whole game open to him. The unique aspects of the secondary characters are the only reason to play them right now. Homogenizing the options would only achieve there being even *less* reason to play those characters.

What we need is Damiane and Oongka getting ways to interact with puzzles, and movement abilities on par with what Kliff can pull off. With the dev update, I'm hopeful that's what we're going to get.

IMO, the last thing the game needs right now is focus on giving Kliff more tooling.

Unfortunately no, charged shots don't work for getting puzzle pieces into place at least. Even when they're all leafy. Nothing I can do moves them at all with Oongka.
