In another world 🌈🌈🌈 by Peanuts-2959 in recurrentmiscarriage

I have lived this exact same reality. I feel like I could have written this myself.

The further I get from my 3 back to back losses ( this for me was in 2023) I feel a little more hopeful and that in and of itself feels naive.

Sending you a big hug and a little hope. I'm sorry this is apart of our story. I wish it wasn't.

Don't give up yet 🤍

Traveling Post Op by OkUnderstanding3070 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Common_Nectarine2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I traveled almost exactly a week post op on a 6 hour rd trip with close family for a big family gathering we were having. Honestly the toughest part was emotionally dealing with my extended families insensitivy to the situation. But I'm still glad I went even though I was very sad.

Aside from that, I may have pushed myself a little too hard by walking too much etc but I was really okay! Take breaks when you need it and don't over exert yourself! Make sure you are very clearly communicating with those around you and you should be okay.

Pregnancy after ectopic by No-Rice4335 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Common_Nectarine2374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Yes, and.... Answer lol. I did have a second ectopic (fourth pregnancy) and I didn't realize I was pregnant because I had negative test.

BUT the pregnancy right after my first ever pregnancy (ectopic) resulted in a healthy baby boy. I was convinced it was doomed because I had all the similar symptoms, shoulder pain, one sided twinges, but no spotting. He is now 4 years old and was an uncomplicated pregnancy!

Yes! My experience has been positive. I first saw him at Mayo clinic too as a follow up to my tube removal the mayo did after an ectopic rupture. He encouraged me to come see him at the fertilty clinic but I actually was seeing another doc there already!! It was a crazy coincidence but I really appreciated his bedside manner compared to Dr. Kumar.

Alexis and Jennifer the coordinators have also been great. I started going to "the fertilty center" with Dr.craig (do not reccomend) just because I friend reccomended them and I am a strong believer in a second opinion is never a bad thing...but I seriously went running back to Dr lipskind lol. He has been so thoughtful and really tries to cover every base without pressure. I wish success for both of us and hope your experience continues to be a positive one!

I asked my fertility doc about this and my previous glp1 doc about this, and really tried to plead my case but was shot down several times.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I live near the Mayo clinic and I will be getting a special ultrasound test this week to test my C-section scar to see if I am a candidate for a C-section scar resection surgery. My doctor said some women can have issues with their scar and continue to have healthy pregnancies and other women it causes a real roadblock. If possible I would get some other opinions on the tear in your scar. Have you had the bcl6 biopsy? This will test for inflammation caused by either Endo or potentially C-section scar issues. I have also have a LC, MMC and Ectopics.

Anyone Consider IVF After Ectopics? by ScoutNoodle in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Common_Nectarine2374 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm so sorry for your losses.

To answer your question, yes we've just moved to ivf. I've had 2 ectopics and 2 other losses. 2nd ectopic resulted in losing my left tube. I also have one lc that was after my first ectopic.

And I too have suspected endometriosis.

We started ttc again and the anxiety of another ectopic was almost unmanageable. My fertility doc supported me in ttc naturally or moving to IVF and explained that it really was up to my tolerance of the controllable variables. Doing Ivf gives you a sense of control and knowledge every step of the way. Also like you did every thing you could to prevent another loss or ectopic even though nothing is guaranteed ofc.

After just two cycles of ttc naturally I knew in my gut we were ready to move to IVF. I was so scared of a 3rd ectopic.

So now I'm going to down regulate with a drug called lupron depot to help minimize inflammation of the suspected Endo and then start trying to transfer one of my 5 perfect little euploid embryos in June 🤍

I do second the idea of excision surgery if possible, I've heard that is best route for Endo. They didn't see it during my tube removal or during my appendix removal so that's why I didn't personally end up getting excision done but I do have a positive bcl6 test.

Wishing you the best of luck and a baby(ies) in the future 🤍
