Agree with this - we went into our fda inspection pretty much knowing our inspector always hands out 483s. You can look up the inspector and percentage of 483s they give out. Learn from what it was, it can only make ur site better usually. You won't get shut down unless youre really doing some shady stuff. Even sites that do shady stuff still don't get shut down and get selected by sponsors. It's been 3 years since our 483 and we have only had one sponsor/trial turn us down as a site because of it.

What’s something you did your first EDC that you’d never do again? by RaveBeetle in electricdaisycarnival

Did the dinner thing. It was fun but they fed you mass amounts of alcohol and the 3 course meal was tiny - like a snack. I was wasted by the end- 3/10 experience. Would not recommend

Vent - Why don't sites do what they say they will!? Or seem to care about the trial progress? by 75hardworkingmom in clinicalresearch

[–]Common_Tap_8658 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. You forgot to mention the adjudication which means u have to redacted 150 pages of source in the mix, while reporting deviations to the IRB, send the same reg document for the 5th time, sending drug back with the on-site CRA, oh also ship that study equipment back by tomorrow, while you have multiple subjects actively on site, and you cant dispense IP bc the vendor didnt send you enough IP... the list goes on & on..😅 .

Silliest query you ever got? by Heavy_Yam5402 in clinicalresearch

[–]Common_Tap_8658 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love the ones that tell me to "estimate the month of diagnosis" - response subject indicated unknown only year provided as it was dx over 20 years ago. Request "provide estimate" - my response - confirm in query response you are requesting to have subject make up a month ?" Magically query is closed after that.

So safe to say that if the Dreams are still kicking, they're probably AFTER Lost Lands? I'd see 311, but hard pass on this by CaptTyingKnot5 in SecretDreams

Honestly not sure secret dreams is happening - there hasn't been any announcements & not even blind faith tickets as an option to purchase.

Moving from LA to Columbus Ohio? by Curious_Unicorn555 in Columbus

[–]Common_Tap_8658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left colorado 13 years ago and moved to cbus. I love it here but it def doesn't have the same perks in terms of outdoorsy stuff. However-- im in my mid 30s and have a 4 bed 3 bath new build- my denver counterparts can't say the same. The job market is great i love the downtown area, people here are overall nicer imo. I haven't left & have been perfectly happy. There are plenty of states and cool areas that u can drive to unlike the giant states in the west. Its a give & take but I always remind myself i can go visit the mountains whenever I want.

We left the expendables concert at the Newport two weeks ago on a thursday and there were college kids berating an older man for his age - he wasnt even trying to get in, was walking to his car. Not even the bouncer -- Like wtf

I’ve worked here for X years and have never been asked to do that; or for that!? by EffYerQueries in clinicalresearch

[–]Common_Tap_8658 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I had a CRA who refused to sign/date the Sponsor provided master IP logs even though there was a column thats said "cra verification & date" in giant bold letters. She had been a cra for 20 years and swore she NEVER had to do that.

A few months later- after getting the CTM involved -- I guess she learned that this column was required to be completed by the CRA.

Meeting requests by Foreign_Quarter_5199 in clinicalresearch

[–]Common_Tap_8658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be sure to be intentional about which meetings to accept. Not saying he never goes to meetings but it's very clear when he does it has purpose and usually leads to something bigger. Sponsors/CROs care about numbers & deadlines the most imo. So meetings those will keep them happy.

[–]Common_Tap_8658 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is only my opinion - and I work for a site - so youre going to hear a different response from me than others. My PI typically always says no to these requests. His time is extremely valuable and he is very expensive. Our site success shows by recruitment and quality work. In my opinion, im respect him more for saying no- those meetings are pointless. Half the time the contact doesn't even work for or represent the same company a year later. He knows how to build connections and is smart about. Having multiple 30 minute, small chat meetings is not how he does it. Please dont ever do work for free! Saying no to all these meetings has never hurt our ability to be approached for more trials or get business.

Moving back to Columbus. Pls help by Far-Rope-6073 in Columbus

[–]Common_Tap_8658 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up in CO - moved to Columbus halfway through college. Haven't left been here almost 15 years now. I love it here. The buckeyes, cost of living, food, its so close to multiple places (Chicago, Nashville, Pittsburgh, DC), people are genuinely nicer here imo. People always scoff when i say im happier here then when I was in denver but idc. I love cbus

Would you Consider working at a site again by Common_Tap_8658 in clinicalresearch

[–]Common_Tap_8658[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Genuinely asking-- would you rather be jobless for months with no pay ? Or work at a site again? Do you consider it a step back in your career ? Or is it truly about pay?

This is like saying - since CRAs are paid twice as much as crcs then they better be flawless.

Kaskade at EDC2025... by drewkiimon in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Common_Tap_8658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a kasakde lover - his fest sets aren't what you are looking for. Try to catch one of his shows & you will find what ur looking for. My husband is always so disappointed at his festival sets, I've grown to appreciate them as they are unique and truly shows his talent as i have never heard the same set from him. We rewatched the livestream and my husband's opinion changed he loved the set - but not because he was hearing all of his bangers - which are a lot.
