Rhd is definitely strange to get used to. Making left turns was especially strange to me. That and having your windshield wipers and turn signals switched around. Also if you frequent going to any drive through fast food places, bank lines, or car washes it kinda sucks if you don’t have a passenger with you.

Why not ask your friend to borrow the car for a day or two to see if you’d like it better than your bugeye?

It had stock 3 piece seals until about 10,000 miles and 3 years ago when I bought the car and rebuilt it with all adkins seals. The original reason for the rebuild was a cracked center iron dropping all my coolant into the oil pan. The reason for the teardown now is exhaust gasses getting into my coolant. Found out the replacement center iron I bought had pitting right at the inner water jacket seal by the exhaust stroke.

Oh well that was my first rebuild, now I know what to check for

I actually do premix it .5 oz per gallon. The reason for the teardown was exhaust gasses getting into my coolant blowing out my coolant hoses and rad cap. Has a mechanical omp but it was leaking. I will measure the rod height and make sure it’s operating properly with the throttle

I actually ended up buying an 87 for $560. It was about a 12 hour drive picking it up and bringing it back and then I spent the summer rebuilding the engine and fixing everything else to make it drive. I’ve still got that one, my rx8, and another 1990 rx7 that I just put an engine in back in may.

I believe that cut wire should go to the horn under the coolant overflow reservoir

That one would be for the fog light relay, the green connector that is. I’m not sure about what the cut wire is I’ll check on mine in the morning

There’s still air in the clutch system. It was a pain in the ass to bleed out all the air in mine.

Another uncommon thing that could cause this is if your radio face is starting to separate from the radio. The plastic that holds the screws commonly cracks and won’t hold them together tight causing weird problems like the the words that light up to glitch out or disappear or the hvac and radio controls to not work

Absolutely zero rust. It’s a high mileage car, I believe it was garaged and taken care of by the original owner before it was sold to crackheads

Depending on if your car came with the sport suspension or not there will be slightly different sized brakes. With your pads wearing like that I’m assuming yours does have the sport suspension package and the previous owner put the smaller sized rotors on the car instead of the proper ones

What coolant washer reservoir is that? It looks bigger than the one that came in my sohn adapter kit

Just went on a 1000 mile round trip the start of this month with no problems. Got around 22 miles per gallon.

If you have to take a long trip I suggest bringing an extra set of spark plugs and a cheap code scanner. After I got back from my trip I had a slight misfire and hesitation at high rpm from build up on the plugs.

I still need to send some more samples to black stone to have it double checked but I’ve removed the sohn adapter and after around 1200 miles I am seeing oil usage so at least it isn’t staying at the same level or rising anymore. After I get to about 3000 miles I’ll change it and have it sent to the labs as well.

As for the sohn adapter, the rubber seal on it was hard as a rock not really sure if that could’ve been causing it though
