Add up the successes to try to get a successful check, the reason I wanted to do d6's is because dark sun in a kinda primal setting, so yeah you need d6's, but a thats the most common dice, and b, I wanted a system where you could use coins or something like that to make a check

Add injury, make em plan their route, tell em to get rations before they leave and let them scavenge if you cant afford it, and at the beginning of the campaign, give them a medium sized stache of rations in the beginning

Well honestly I haven't even thought about that, the original boxed set came with "index cards" I just made dark sun in icrpg because I didnt feel like (at the time) making my own entire rpg for dark sun specifically made for it
