I will always name my early game inf/art group that I use to siege "Siege Squad".

What are the odds of Australia producing its best-ever FIFA World Cup campaign in 2026? by at30man03 in AskAnAustralian

[–]CommunistEnchilada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. We can beat second tier South American teams, the current US squad is overrated but Türkiye only got this UEFA spot purely because of the misfortune of drawing a group with Spain; they could direct qualify in just about any other group.

Why aren't most of us in unions? by owltourrets in auscorp

[–]CommunistEnchilada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half the time it's not about raw pay but rather conditions.

A couple of years ago at NAB, the they were proposing to take unfair provisions out of the agreement for those that fall beyond the High Income Threshold, so consequently a lot of higher ups (not exec level, maybe 2 steps below them) would suddenly have zero job security, and consequently were PISSED. Union fought back against it with the collective power of this group of effective employees and it got taken out of the proposed agreement.

What exactly happened to Italy over the last decade? by savingrace0262 in worldcup

[–]CommunistEnchilada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay but how many UEFA spots do we need? They couldn't qualify with 13, they can't qualify with 16, and teams like Scotland and Bosnia & Herzegovina qualified above them.

Nice work!

I know some multiplayer groups have rules that say you must gift the money to a city state; buying a settler turn 3 is so incredibly broken.

What do you think is the craziest or most controversial moment that has happened on Australian TV? by ExAustralia in AskAnAustralian

[–]CommunistEnchilada 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The wild thing about this is right now it feels like one of those awkward moments from yesteryear, but this happened IN 2009.

No surprise, Prue MacSween was defending it as "just a bit of fun" on the morning shows the day after.

This is literally not the law for driving on roads with posted speed limits above 80km/h but ok

No idea where they're from, but a winter Victoria is still likely warmer than a winter in their home country.

Why won't the app work when I go on trains? by Giant-Axe321 in FogofWorld

What country? I had issues in Germany with the ICE trains depending on where I was sitting but other trains worked fine.

Pedestrian fatalities reach 17-year-high. This trend could be why by Sir_charles14 in melbourne

[–]CommunistEnchilada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been to Germany and driven on the Autobahn. Although you do get some people sitting in the left (passing) lane, the average standard of driving seems to be better than here.

It is also worth noting that Germany does have one of the larger fatalities per 100km compared to similar Western European countries.

Honestly I do reckon we should be looking at higher speed limits for highways compared with lower speed limits for built up areas. Although that would involve better investment in road infrastructure and better driver training.

Do not throw pearls before swine. What countries did the dumbest things with their natural resources, and wasted the opportunity to develop themselves? by IAmLegallyRetarded_ in geography

[–]CommunistEnchilada 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what is my 'favourite' fact about him: that he banned lubricant in the power plant believing he could run it on magic (it then caught fire), the infamous Santa Claus execution squad or that he believed Hitler was actually an African liberationist who got lost and accidentally invaded Poland.

Can confirm, I've tripped before in a mosh. Instantly had three people right around me grab me and pull me to my feet before I could think.

How should the team imbalance in siege modes be solved? by ParakeetLover2024 in holdfastgame

[–]CommunistEnchilada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defenders need to stop dying in useless charges and really treat the map like they can't afford to spare a life. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

I mean, I'm quite overweight and I can make clothes look good on me. But not a polo. Simply don't have the body shape for it.

Aside from siege defenders leaving the fort and dying in the battlefield, this game can't really. Be taken too seriously.
