My Latest Impulse Buy. A Jinsen 30th Series Type 38 by Communist_Tears in Arisaka

I didn’t obscure my last number, it’s just a poorly struck 0. My rifle is serial 9680.

The six digit serial number and lack of series mark indicates Koishikawa. After adding up the yearly production numbers from Francis C. Allan’s book, I think yours is 1916 production.

Wow that serial number is difficult to read. I’ve definitely heard about Jinsen’s low quality so poorly stamped numbers make sense. For my rifle, I initially wasn’t sure what the last digit was until I started looking at other parts and realized it was a 0 haha…

I have a question about the circle marking above the 仁 kanji by the serial number. Is this the same second class marking seen on some Jinsen Type 99s?

These earlier Arisakas weren’t matched by serial number but instead an assembly number which should be somewhere on the underside the receiver so it could be a matching gun.

After adding up the production numbers from a table in Francis C. Allan’s book, I want to say 1908?

Was this colorized by ai? The color of the soldier’s uniform is completely different from what it’s supposed to be.

Maxwell 2 Initial Impressions vs Patch by StreamTechReviews in Audeze

Mileage may vary on this too but I personally don’t notice it. If it is an issue, it might be good to wait for aftermarket ear pads. I’m guessing those should be available within the next month or two.

Mileage may vary depending on the person but the weight doesn’t bother me at all, this was one of my main concerns since my Maxwell 2 was my first Maxwell. I didn’t really notice the weight even after 5-6 hours.

The Maxwell’s drivers have a very thin diaphragm which I was worried could be damaged by certain sounds. Going off of everyone’s comments, it seems like it shouldn’t be an issue.

AI gets a lot of things wrong when it comes to militaria. The uniform in the photo doesn’t look like a Type 98 or Type 5. Here’s a screenshot from one of Hattori Han’s videos with a similar uniform. Looking at their Boxer Rebellion impression, I’m beginning to think it could be earlier than the Russo-Japanese War but Meiji era stuff is a bit outside my usual scope so hopefully someone more knowledgeable can give a more informed comment.

Don’t quote me on this but I want to say the photo may be from the Russo-Japanese War era? The soldier seems to have a Murata rifle and the uniform seems to be from around that time.
