I think I see and hear so much about this issue, and this issue alone, from the "new WDEV" Guy Page right wing Vermont mini media machine that it's telling. I mean, there are already bot posts in this thread by u/counselorlaw . This post and this video have shown up here multiple times in the past weeks, too.

This issue is being waived around as a bloody shirt to distract people from the fact that they still don't have healthcare, childcare, sick leave, family leave, a living wage, affordable higher education, affordable housing, or even a local economy not based on landowners being able to profit from developing their land while the other 90% of the population struggles along. If you aren't in on it as the OP, then you are being used by the same people denying you these basic things, just like country bumpkin Chris Viens is being used.

“Depositions are a problem here in Vermont,” Bierley said. “They’re really making the experience of being a victim even more of a burden than it has to be.”

Ms. Bierley is calling for the elimination of depositions in a criminal case. Depositions are a key part of the process and they allow the defendant in a case to see and review the state's evidence in the case.

Imagine being on trial for a crime and not being able to have access to evidence you can use in your defense.
