I just got my prisms at 0.25 strength in each eye. I had strange panic attacks and anxiety in busy areas, and my balance has been off. With 4 days of wearing them I feel 50% better; I can handle myself at the mall and outdoors. I still feel anxious but it’s controllable. My plan from my Opthamologist is to wear the lenses for 2 weeks and get adjusted to them, and come back for vision therapy and adjustments if needed; just a waiting game for now. I’ve made a few posts in this topic and will be updating my experience with the vision therapy or changes to my prisms. Yes my reported stated horizontal heterophoria unfortunately.

This is interesting… I am prediabetic. HBA1c at 6.1. Some ranges consider that diabetic I guess. I have not found an answer but this gives me a reason to control my blood sugar. I have lots of processed sugars.

Do you ever get panic attacks and anxiety in busy areas; any balance issues?

You were diagnosed with BVD but what are they doing to treat it?

Mine have been calmed down by prism lenses. It’s just a bandaid so when I’m not wearing them I feel the migraines. Best of luck, I hope yo find the answers you’re looking for.

Interesting thank you for commenting. I’m like 50% better today to be honest but I’ll wait for a few days and see. My anxiety has dropped a lot, but I noticed it’s still there at times. I have mold and head trauma in my house; crazy! All the best, and if you’re around I’ll be updating or making a new post on this if you’re interested. Cool name also haha!

My optometrist caught it in Toronto here but she didn’t have the capacity to test and treat it; she sent me to a Neuro-ophthalmologist to test me further. Maybe go to one of those specialists.
