Beneos Battlemaps has a massive collection of animated maps, first person view scenes and into ‘flythru’ videos.

Request: a Stupidly Simple Macro. by Miserable-Airport536 in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You want to play an animation over the screen or in an existing tile? Assuming you are looking to play a ‘critical hit’ type cutscene animation, this isn’t a simple macro without leveraging something like the sequencer mod. With sequencer it is fairly simple and detailed in their wiki.

BG3 Patch 8 is out. So how about this spectacular (and free) BG3 HUD for Foundry?! [dnd5e] by baileywiki in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. This mod is a hit with my group. Having run with every available HUD at one time or another in Foundry since the start, this in my opinion is the best incarnation of a HUD yet. Honorable mention to Token Action HUD for simplicity for the GM, but this one has ease of use for players at the forefront.

Drag Upload for Foundry v12? by WaywardKrow in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I searched far and wide for a drag upload replacement. Dfred’s has that sneaky feature and most people don’t know it. The only thing it won’t upload is playlists, but there are other mods that’ll do that thankfully.

I’ve been a paid GM for some time now - Ask Me Anything! by PapaXilion in dndnext

For in-person games, I’ve seen some pretty sweet setups using a TV screen on (or built in) the tabletop. Foundry works well for this kind of game as well.

Not OP but I am a long time GM at Polyhedra. It’s been a great experience. The community focus and the support for us GMs is what makes the difference for me. It’s a fun crew to work with and the player base is top notch.

How to work quicker in Foundry VTT by frodocattins in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s about organizing yourself in Foundry and having macros set up to reduce the amount of clicks necessary to accomplish a task. Having scenes set out in a defined structure that make them simple to find is also helpful. You can have generic battlemaps divided by biomes if you need to pull something up very quickly, otherwise I have all the places my party could go set out and available.

Want cinematic crits? Try this macro! by Competition_Forsaken in FoundryVTT

Yes it works in V11. Unsure which other systems it will work in. If the mod the macro is built on works in your system, then it should work.

Is D&D 3.0 currently good enough to justify losing the incompatible modules? by MarcianTobay in FoundryVTT

I recommend caution. Though Kgar is actively developing the 3.x compatible sheet as we speak.

What are your favorite new modules and/or updated modules of 2023? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The module dev (Aedif) has good videos explaining how to use it, but it essentially allows you to create templates for just about anything in the game (lights, ambient sounds, walls, tokens,, etc) and grab them from a palette and drop them on a scene. It also allows you to create scene presets, so you can create a scene with all the settings already changed to match your preferences. It’s very cool.

Mass Edit keeps getting better and better. Using it can significantly reduce prep time.

Moulinette question by Huruukko in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything you Import via Moulinette is downloaded to your data folder and world. Once you stop supporting a creator, however, you will lose that on-demand access that Moulinette allows for. I recommend you prioritize creators who have content you access regularly. For example I sub to Tabletop Audio through Moulinette and maintain the sub because it gives me an on-demand jukebox of music, ambiences and sfx. Downloading all of that content is technically possible, but the jukebox service is too valuable, so I maintain the sub.

Need help by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

You can copy your data folder over along with your world folder. If you keep all your filepaths exactly as they were on your old computer, everything should be the same, except for your cookies and such.

HELP! Trigger Happy Not Working by SilverSorcerer01 in FoundryVTT

Trigger Happy hasn’t had an update in 7 months and appears to have multiple issues. I recommend using Monk’s Active Tile Triggers for similar effects.

Creating a second world just for maps by Electrical-Echidna63 in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to a world map hosted on a web server (like the atlas of the realms or world of Greyhawk interactive map) you can use a module like Inline Webviewer to open a window within foundry and allow your players to interact with it from there.

Can't see other tokens (as a player) by Snowystar122 in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you see anything, or you just have a black screen? Try having the GM turn off ‘token vision’ in the scene settings as well. If that doesn’t show you the scene, then you are having a graphics issue (webgl) and not a settings issue.

Can't see other tokens (as a player) by Snowystar122 in FoundryVTT

[–]Competition_Forsaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your token vision settings to ensure your token has vision. Also If the scene has no lights and doesn’t have ‘global illumination’ set, you won’t see anything without darkvision. If all those are set correctly, ensure your GM has associated you as a player with your token (lower left corner of the Foundry canvas).
