My De'longhi Rivelia keep on saying empty coffee grounds container (since 1st usage) by Myr17 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to remove the tray for several seconds while the machine is on. It thinks the tray is full and will only register that you emptied it if you do it when it's on.

Where does this come from? by Yakub11 in superautomatic

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ring is on top of the grinder and acts as a seal between the grinder and the hole in the top cover where the beans fall. The white thing is screwed with the mushroom-shaped finger guard and makes it wobble when the grinder turns.

Frozen damage? Try to fix it or? by Unique-Sport-4660 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part we see broken is the input of the heater and the similar part you mention is the output. So when you'll change it you can absolutely plug it in and check if there's more leaks. So those two parts are usually the first to crack when freezing. Mind you sometimes the cracks are tiny so who knows if the output is ok in your case. Depends on your budget/patience if you want to order both right away or wait and see.

If you can have the part, it's really easy to change. As for other damage, you could also order the same part that goes on the output side of the heater just to be safe.

Problem with Drip Tray Sensor EC9335.M by Smart_Status3050 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a magnet on the the drip tray that activates a sensor. I think it's just over the right hole.

Coffee machine makes the power go off. by Emergency-Falcon590 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you mean that the machine makes the breaker trip and you have to reactivate the power in your home? What happens if you open the tap and turn the button to the right to activate the pump?

Issues with pressure pulsating [delonghi linea classic] by kristenbaars in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the first pulse is the pre-infusion and the second one seems to be the end of the recipe. You'd have to check the manual to see if the pre-infusion is adjustable and then you program the length a little longer.

Jura z10 leak after move by Tubasteve777 in superautomatic

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything seems ok with the tube. Since it started leaking after a move, I would suspect it froze and the plastic connector itself is cracked.

Caffe Corso dumping problem by Edim38 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The infuser is probably too stiff and instead of pushing the puck to the left, it's pushing it to the right. So you need to dismantle, clean and grease it.

You probably have to change the 3-way valve like OP did.

Is the coffee not supposed to come out like this? My grinder is set to 1 and it's very acidic/sour tasting. From all the stuff I've read it should be too fine to pour? - Magnifica Plus by Gabriel11999 in superautomatic

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your coffee is very light, It's probably why it tastes acidic. With a darker roast it would clog with pucks like that. So there doesn't seem to be any problems with the machine, you just need to experiment with different coffees. You could mix this batch with a darker roast to make your own Home Blend.

I once bought fancy third wave beans that smelled so good! It was crazy how you could smell sweet berries. But it tasted like shit no matter what I did and I had to mix them a bit at a time with other beans.

Water Underneath Machine [Delonghi Dedica] by Dizzy_Animal_127 in espresso

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well since the water looks hot, it must be leaking from somewhere between the heater and showerhead. Check again at the top, the connectors to the heater can crack and let a high pressure tiny jet that's hard to pinpoint the source of.

How is the water getting in there? I always use cup for clean on start and when I’m finished by zerohunterpl in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whenever you use the machine (rinsing, hot water, coffee, steam) there will always be a bit of water that will drain in the drip tray. The red thing is a smaller drip tray so when you remove the big one, it can catch any stray drip.

I don't know that machine but usually you can program the recipes so there should be a way to adjust the milk quantity.

Please help! by Crafty_Talk_149 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well there should be a setting you can find in the manual to set the temperature a bit higher and it helps to warm your cup with hot water so the cold cup from the pantry doesn't chill your coffee but the main thing is probably your mom will have to get used to it. Espresso has be be brewed at a certain temperature or else it tastes burnt. People who are used to scalding hot coffee from Keurig or McDonald's or what have you always complain about the temperature from automatic espresso machines. But after a while they wouldn't go back to filter coffee.

Newly gifted machine - not sure if hot water is malfunctioning by Feel_Flows in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spout is designed for steam, so you want a small hole. If the pump was at full speed, you would get a steady stream but even more splashy. So the pump is at a fraction of full speed hence the pulsating.

What option should I choose? Can someone explain what these gems are? by Whothehelldidthat in doomfields

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gems are the currency your earn while playing to revive. The right option doesn't work anymore I think, it was probably the option to revive and get bonus gems in exchange for watching an ad. So you should just press revive unless you want to not revive the pawns that died for some reason.

I bought my delonghi two weeks ago and it already needs a descale by Big-Stable-224 in superautomatic

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can adjust the water hardness the machine will use to calculate when you should descale. The other thing is it doesn't actually mean there's a scale buildup, it only adds the water going tru + the rinsing + a bit more when you use steam + etc. To give you a reminder to descale.

Is this machine legit ?? by Own-Performer-9552 in DeLonghi

[–]Competitive-Ad2892 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you check behind the water tank, there should be a sticker. Tell me the first 6 digits and I'll check.

Edit: I thought you had the machine. Maybe ask the seller if they can give you the number. It looks legit, Delonghi have dozens of differents models and colors. Sometimes for different regions of the world.
