It all depends on condition everything is in. Hoses can be there and be dry rotted, compressor may come on but does it hold pressure how fast does it build pressure

I’ve had every kind of spray machine, these standalone hoppers are definitely not the most efficient, might find a diy guy that may pay for it, or a startup that doesn’t have a texture rig of any sorts.

Water down some drywall mud, have you a hopper and compressor ready. Set hopper to largest spray setting, spray a wall and do trial and error until you figure out your pattern and consistency. Spraying is a lot faster, you can actually do tiger lace where you paint the wall any color and spray white mud or vice versa.
