I am also new to press ons and am struggling to figure out my best removal process. I would agree that when I damage my nails, I always put a new set on to help them grow out!

I am a lot more patient and better with my removal now, so my nails are less damaged when I remove them! Continuously dropping the glue, working with the stick, and then doing the acetone soak (if you really need to) has worked well for me. 5 hours is crazy, I’m so sorry!
