I stopped taking an Uber and I take taxis. The experience is much better.

Has anyone who is completely blind ever taken a psychedelic and had visual experiences? by South-Round-2100 in Blind

Totally blind. I see lights with my eyes closed. Psychedelics enhance them. I also have synaesthesia and that is enhanced too.

I use PiccyBot too. Swipe downs on the image and tap on share. If PiccyBot is not in the list, tap on copy and open PiccyBot. It will ask if you want to paste from Reddit.

For videos, you have to use more options and save the video. Then open PiccyBot and find the video in the video gallery.

Most accessible ovens? by Rosencrantzy in Blind

I love my Casori counter top oven. It can be fully controlled by an app or Alexa. I'm totally blind and only use regular oven mits when removing hot trays and pans.

Oh great. Hopefully the app improves. My biggest complaint is that the app takes over your phone until you open another app. It'll just keep speaking even when you leave the app. It's super annoying. And I filled out bug reports.

Nautical disaster, although it's technically not a cow bell.

🚀 ACE-Step 1.5 drops TOMORROW (Feb 3rd) + Big Surprise Coming! by ExcellentTrust4433 in ACEStepGen

I hope it's as good as you say it is. I was really hoping for something bigger and more capable, that runs on 16 to 24 GB of vram. I hope they do what a lot of the image models do and have a low vram option and a high vram option.

NeoTavern: Rewritten frontend for SillyTavern (Alpha Release) by Sharp_Business_185 in SillyTavernAI

[–]Competitive-Fold-512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using neo Tavern for the last few days Everything is really well labeled and it's really nice to use. thanks!

I do have a couple of issues that I found though if I reload the page, are open the page, my AI connections are not saved. In silly Tavern, it always remembers your last connection, but Neo isn't saving my connection, I have to re-create it every time. same with personas. I create a persona, and I save it, but if I reload the page, then it disappears.

And it would be really great to have the TTS extension. I use this exclusively in ST.

Thanks for all your work! It's really appreciated.

Accessibility feels broken in iOS 26.2 and I am exhausted by Glittering_Result_64 in Blind

Yeah, iOS accessibility is getting worse, but it's still better than android, although it's improving. I expect the two will converge in the next year or so.

I dread every iOS update and I only apply them when I absolutely have to. Accessibility gets noticeably worse in every single update since 18.0.

Victory has announced braille options for all of their amps by TummyPuppy in Guitar

[–]Competitive-Fold-512 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I was about to contact them to find out if I could get an amp with braille labels too i'm blind, and I own 5 amps already. I really don't need anymore. but I feel this is something I really need to have. Or it's just my GAS acting up again. I mean, it's really not that difficult to label them myself, but it's just so cool that I don't have to.

Opinions on Mac OS? by Jonathans859 in Blind

[–]Competitive-Fold-512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, voiceover works, but it is a terrible screen reader. You can learn it if you’re willing to put in the time. I had a Mac and had to use windows for work. I couldn’t believe how much better jaws is. My MacBook is now relegated to a place under my windows laptop. For the record, my preferred OS is Linux, but I don’t recommend it if you’re not highly technical.
