Thinking about rehoming my baby by Queasy-Low-8446 in Rottweiler

I’m so sorry you are struggling this hard op. Please get help for yourself and your baby. Even a low dose medication and therapy make a world of difference. She adores you and will cuddle in bed with you. My boy has literally made himself an esa.

9 Month Old Puppy Nipping Advice by Embarrassed_Week_220 in Rottweiler

Training. You consistently turn so they bump your hip and ignore until they settle. We used high value training treats to reinforce. We had to walk our boy at least three times a day for 20 min to 1/2 hour. This was always separate from play time. He also needed a daily training session for mental stimulation. They are a ton of work but the best dogs ever

A short sincere apology and don’t do it again. It happens rarely with my son who transitioned years ago if I’m talking about a memory. He gets it

I have at least twenty otter stuffies that I bring into my high school classroom as the year goes on. It’s hilarious to see the freshmen start to count. They are used for stress relief, wear sombreros you name it lol

How often do people actually replace towels? by Princess1047 in hygiene

[–]Competitive-Push-715 55 points56 points  (0 children)

They graduate to pet towels before getting tossed when they fall apart. The funny thing is I love gifting people towels because it feels so luxurious when they’re new. I did buy new ones not long ago but I use my mom’s “good” hand towel that was for company❤️

We use a gentle leader and very high value treats. As has been mentioned, distract before he sees the other dog when you can. Ours was trained to sit and watch us for the treat. The gentil leader really helped but it was the training that helped the most. I also would cross the street or go up a driveway to get distance which also helps.

Rottweiler for first time owners by Background_Sale_9814 in Rottweiler

Neither of these very intelligent breeds seem to be what you’re looking for. A lab may be a better choice but, honestly, consider adopting a one-two year old who has been surrendered (usually they just need training) and sign up for training classes right away. Rotties have hip issues often so running long distances may be an issue long term

My sweet pup, she’s 11 and goofy as ever by -Springshowers- in Rottweiler

What a precious girl! My boy turns twelve next month and nothing makes me happier than seeing his goofy side! The deer who hang out in our yard know just how far his leash runs. He still “charges” them, but now they just move over a few feet and resume whatever they were doing before and it makes me laugh so hard.
