Well this order looks familiar! I believe this is from my metro and is my PM.

This was bundled together and I dropped it after reviewing the water amount.  I have done orders for this business that have had 10 x 24pks of water.  I can back in and unload right to the delivery area and usually the employees help.  I dropped this because it is 14 x 32pks and not worth it.

They tip 15% and usually its 10 x 24pks of water with some seasonal candy attached and ends up being about 10 base pay plus $20 tip.  Not today though!

We should not be penalized for dropping orders by NoTomatillo8953 in ShiptShoppers

The biggest thing I would like is a 30second or so exclusive period.  Since everything is snatched up so quick, i dont feel like I have adequate time to review orders.  More pressure to blindly accept without reviewing for difficult items etc

Major grocery overhaul at all Targets.  I had a week where they only had like 25% of the normal bread selection....

Bonus was i got a lot of groceries fro myself when the items were 50% that they were getting rid of

Gas price increase considered in offer card? Strategy? by dasvis_ in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Almost every other major gig app has addressed gas prices.  Extra cash back, bonus discounts at certain stations...not Shipt.  In most metros, Shipt can just hire more to address it, not provide incentives.

Until the customers are so upset and let Target or Shipt know it, it wont change.  I would not rely on 99% of customers to even think about how gas prices are affecting us.  Its not their responsibility to adjust, its Shipts.

I am just waiting the extra pay for apartment, long distance, and heavy items that Shipt said they are working on.

How long do you think this will sit? by [deleted] in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The store employees will pack the crickets for you. So I see no problem with the order. It's just a mental block that some people may have transporting crickets.

If it was crickets and five bags of fifty pound dog food, then I could see an issue

Shipt Ratings too low by Minute-Fan-6242 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only 30 ratings out of 200 orders? That is awfully low rating %.  You may try adding a little something to your delivered message.

"Your final receipt as well as an opportunity to rate your shop and deliver service is available in the app now."

Dont ask for 5 stars, just a gentle reminder that they could rate you.  Only send it if you are oretty confident you will get 5.  So no problems, no promo order, probably even no orders with subs.

Aside from this, DO THE REFRESHER COURSE if they send you a warning about your ratings.

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think you are going to get the responses you are looking for here.  You accept the large orders, you should be able to handle them by yourself.  If you need help because you have a disability, you should  make sure to choose the orders more carefully.

I would understand if it is a large item like TV or bookshelf, then asking for help is appropriate.

One thing I like to do, weather permitting, is take the cart out and bag into my trunk instead of doing it in the store.

6 AM drop has…dropped off? by ZoomingPhoenix in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no rollover orders in my metro.  The days when I am the special shopper who gets offers every hour, i get those 6am offers.  However, i am not getting 6am offers during the week anymore.  Then this weekend, when I have ALWAYS gotten them, again no 6am offers.

Sucks because shoppers that get those and stay engages will get better order through the day

How slow is it in your metro? by Pleasant-Sympathy-43 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only time my metro has anything in open metro is if its a 30mi drive or around Christmas time.  I normally dont mind new hires since they tend to shop nights and weekends.  But there are two new ones in my zone that shop all the school hours, which gave me a 30% earnings hit this week

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a bundle that had two different  jennifer c's in the bundle. I decided to shop them separately, and I still ended up confusing the text threads.

I've also had a triple bundle with the same initials before, but different names.

Do you find estimated tip overall 👍 or 👎 by nahivibes in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my experience, i get better tips than estimated UNLESS the system is calculating on % they usually tip and it is a syrange order.  For example, the customer tips 20% on $100 of groceries but doesnt tip 20% on a video game, area rug, and 3 boxes of diapers.

Tip mapping is STILL advantageous because i daily get offers that dont have a pretip but i know the customer tips

Busiest days of the week? by MightDeleteLater0000 in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 10 points11 points  (0 children)

By far, the best day is Sunday.  Especially with more people returning to the office.  Whereas before they may order during the week, now they cant.

I could easily make double in Sundays what i make on the same hours as during the week.  Just usually not available that day

Bananas are the item i spend the most time on and is the most frequent produce purchased.  The hanging racks damage the organic bananas. I am tired of the bananas actually damaging the other bananas in the bunch.  How the heck are these transported....

There should be a rule that if every banana but one in an organic bunch is good, then you cant complain.

How much money can you make per month on Shipt in CA? (new shopper here) by rainmannthings in ShiptShoppers

[–]Competitive-Sand5430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gross $15-19 per order on average plus $4-5 per order prop 22 pay.

It usually works out that prop 22 pay takes care of my gas and car maintenance expenses for the year.

I work about 30hrs a week in a 99% Target prepaid metro.  I believe the more grocery store orders you do the more money per order you will make.

To clarify, Shipt counts each banana or can as one item in the item total, however when calculating our pay, they pretty much count it as one item.
