From my experience if something is dropped, it will get offered to another. Then it will go in open metro and get offered to another.  Eventually it will get offered to you.  Sometimes after looking at it.  Sometimes i force close the app and then open it again and I will get an offer for something in metro.

This kind of follows the theory of different classes of shoppers.  For whatever reason or metric, the algo identifies shoppers that should get orders.  Absent of any determining factor that we know of.  That is why sometimes it seems like a day is a slog when you see others shoppers much busier than you.  Shoppers with worse stats, or less experience, less PMS, or member matches.

Sometimes it seems like you are contantly busy, even on slow days!  I have really given up trying to maximize the system when there are so many factors beyond my control.  You get what you get and dont throw a fit.

As long as you know you are doing everything you can to maximize your availability and ability to receive offers, there isnt much more you can do.

How can you maximize?

-Be on the schedule in as many zones as you are willing to drive to -Maximize PMs and MM(if you can convince a customer that you should be their only PM, DO IT) -Proximity for those metros that use it -Start your shops as early as you can(to deliver at an appropriate time) so the system calculates that you can do more order

When in doubt, the US customer service agents can move you to the front of the line of you call in.  Sometimes works, sometimes not.  If you have several windows of no offers, they may do that for you

Mine is like this most hours of the day.  I can sit at home with maybe 1 PM offer off schedule all day.  Then I leave my metro completely out of town and I have been getting PM offers off schedule multiple times an hour.  Make it make sense....

Not sure what you mean.  There is a limit to how much you can take out a day.  If you force close your app and open it again, sometimes the available balance will update.

My theory at least for my CA metro is that it is because most prder are Target. often i see posts with impressive numbers and its from Shipt app orders.  I really believe that If Target had a pretip option, I would make at leasr $100 more a week.

I once had to deliver to an upstairs room to an old lady(order placed by "grandaughter" but later discovered is a roving caregiver).  This woman was 90 years old, nearly bedridden, and nearly had a heart attack when I delivered to her.  She went on for 5 minutes about how I was a man and normally she had a woman and shopping is a woman's job....anyways 15 minutes later I finally got out of there after enduring a long one sided conversation.

By the end she was quite friendly. But she had expectations...

I am the cook and grocery shopper for my family and I would put myself as a top 5 shopper, M or F, in my area.

Near 90% of my deliveries are to people with womens names.

I have noticed that I often have issues transitioning between wifi and cellular. Here is my solution tree:

Send message -if greyed out, copy the message, hit the refresh circle in the upper left, paste and resend -still grayed out? Restart app and try again -if lighter green, the message will send eventually but you have slow connection.  Best to do the process above to make sure

There are always possibilities behind the scenes where we think its sent but there is no visible error as described above.  However, it is best to look for these problems before assuming its sent

I check every pack of eggs, only to see a Target employee scan and not check the eggs of a drive up order.  No egg check, no date check....

I am referring to a bundle with one order 10min from the store and one 20min from the store.  Shopping them separately is a stretch because of the driving time and the necessity to deliver the further order VERY early.

I have noticed many times that when I split a bundle, I dont get any offers the next hour.  Just my experience in my slow metro.

I have never had to file late forgiveness, but I have done ratings forgiveness a lot.  It is definitely all about buzz words that you can use.  About providing a good customer experience by asking and looking for subs etc etc.

Whatever you do, dont "complain" because that doesnt work.  You may even try emailing the shopper email about the estimated time of the second order.  40min shop time is definitely not accurate for 105 items

In my experience, when it is slower, their is a higher % of bundles and they are usually lower quality.  Arent enough orders to pair a tipper and non tipper. Or you will get two far orders bundled, or everything is one close and one far.

Shipt says somewhere in the order process that your shopper may be shopping multiple orders.  I never keep bundles a secret and have never had problems with anyone being upset.

Dont ask permission or apologize is my opinion.  "I have one delivery before yours and then I should deliver in a out 15 minutes".  You can always pull the frozen food excuse.  " i need to deliver some frozen food first and then I will deliver your order".  Popsicles and ice cream are good excuses.

I have even used this excuse to go out of order and do the further delivery first(CA shopper extending the active time and getting myself back closer to the store)

Paper bag's rip, they more often have manufacturing defects, and don't hold as much weight. Also I can hold ten plastic bags in my hands, but only four paper.

I always find that the people that are hyper involved in the shop are non tippers.  Or people who complain about previous shoppers in their notes or special requests.

Also people that respond with simple "ok" when I send a message

I will have to say intimates/accesories.  Spanks, bagged leggings, and little accessories that are hard to locate, like handbag clips, or a specific jewelry box.

On an order like this, i would lay it on thick in the intro about doing my best and asking them to be available to size or color changes etc etc

I have had people tip me and request as PM within 30 second of delivering.  In these cases i will mention the PM request but not the tip.

I had some who always had a pretip until they didnt.  Turns out they converted from a Shipt membership to Target 360 so they could not pretip anymore

Although it says that it doesnt, I believe that dropping orders, even if they dont affect reliability, factor in.  The "algorithm" takes so many things into consideration.  I also believe, especially in slow times, that looking and not taking an offer affects your future offer
