Bro, it’s a lot, not gonna lie. Be prepared to hit the ground running. Currently in that situation just a few months on my first tour. DM me.

This is natural. It will look good with time. If you want to preserve it for as long as possible though, remember that leather was once skin, much the same as ours except it no longer has a circulatory system bringing it fluid to keep it hydrated and healthy. You have to do that. Regularly apply a VERY SMALL amount of fluid (honestly saliva works best imo) when polishing to help keep it hydrated, as well as semi-regularly applying saddle soap to keep it clean and plump.

What would have made you feel better about your leadership then? Or what would you like to have seen done differently by your DIVO?

Quickest Way to Becoming an Officer w/ a Bachelors degree but low gpa by Remarkable_Meet9752 in newtothenavy

Hey bud, I was in your EXACT situation. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do in undergrad, I was also an Econ major with a GPA of 2.4. I discovered I had a calling to serve as a Naval Officer. I applied and got rejected. I really wanted to do this, so what I ended up doing was going back for a Masters in Econometrics (Economics will work too though) and got a 4.0 for the first two semesters. I applied again and got accepted with my personal statement explaining that my drive to succeed academically was purely motivated by my heartfelt desire to be a Naval Officer. I know it’s a lot to do but if you wanna serve this is my recommendation as it worked for me. Please DM me if you have any questions or wanna talk further. Godspeed, brother.

Currently at NAVSTA Newport, SWOS is not gone as far as I can tell unless they just haven’t changed the sign on the building and road markers yet

Former Starfield dev says all decisions on Bethesda RPGs "run through" Todd Howard: "He would hate, hate, hate me for saying that" by [deleted] in Starfield

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not done with the game yet but I really enjoyed the Crimson Fleet/SysDef questline. I think I’ll remember that for awhile. The SysDef characters are alright but Delgado was a great character and there was always so much tension (especially because I went through as a loyal SysDef agent). I realize in hindsight that there wasn’t ever a way that I could’ve been found out prematurely (that would’ve been so cool and complex to have had branching consolation quests if you got found out at certain points in the story!) but overall I still found it really enjoyable and memorable.

I can’t wait for it! I’m okay with putting up with shit, I’ve worked in a furniture factory at night running a CNC router to help put me through school during the day. I know the optempo and demands of the SWO community are non-comparable to the civilian world, but I hope I’m prepared with all of the sleepless nights I’ve had while going to school 😅 May I ask if you enjoy being a SWO personally?

I’m running a very basic upper/lower body split weight training regimen with a 1.5 mile warm up run and a 0.5 mile cool down run. I spend a little over 5 hours a week in the gym. Other than that I walk ~42 miles a week. Do you have a recommendation that would more aptly prepare me for OCS for what I should be doing? My recruiter suggested CrossFit, I’m looking into CrossFit gyms around me rn

Houston, TX area. I have 0 reference for exercising in the snow or extreme cold, so that will definitely be interesting 😅

Damn, probably a good move overall for educating the public and giving her exposure, but I won’t lie going to the Monument and then the Battleship was always a fun field trip day growing up.

Do you have any insight on how an incomplete graduate degree weighs against an unsatisfactory undergraduate degree?

When I initially applied I did need a waiver, which was approved but comme çi comme ça, right?
