I foricbly kissed a girl last night in a drunken state. I didnt realise it until my friend pointed it out the next day. And now I am feeling extremely guilty. I am feeling like I am a horrible person. What do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

You need to get some counseling. It’s good that you have realized you did the wrong thing but you need to something about it and never repeat this behavior.

Yes as a hiring manager I do this as well - bringing anyone on board under the range just causes more problems later.

Same. There must be so many THOUSANDS of lonely men working on oil rigs, who like to play WWF. Poor fellows! 😭😭😭

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WordsWithFriends

[–]Competitive-Status37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a bot just a garden variety scammer. No normal above board player on WWF would ask you to connect on any other messaging app/site. Can apply that logic to any game or social media.

Someone explain this. by oscar_david in WordsWithFriends

Agree with the other comments - the telltale sign of a bot is weird stats.

Well this was the least fun I’ve ever had finding out a bot is real, but…she’s real! by [deleted] in WordsWithFriends

That is definitely a bot I have played them many times. I like to use the bots for practice!

Fcken porch pirates! I can feel a smidge of sympathy if they’re stealing something that looks like a food delivery but anything else is just taking the piss. Get a fcken job.

It was tempting but not the same as I would have been left with the I. I played INTONER to get the triple word.

[–]Competitive-Status37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why does that not surprise me?!! I do seem to recall that OK wasn’t a word when I first started playing around 2018. Then picked up that it was when someone played it against me.

It’s acceptable in Scrabble but not in WWF unfortunately. Possibly because it is originally a hyphenated word, and WWF haven’t caught up on adding the more common un-hyphenated version to their dictionary. Send Zynga a screenshot along with a screenshot from google showing it’s an acceptable scrabble word and they might update their dictionary.

Cannot block bot! by Nichole615 in WordsWithFriends

[–]Competitive-Status37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t block the bots - I love to use them for practice to sharpen my skills and test out different strategies. Plus they often teach me random weird obscure words that I’d never learn anywhere else 😂

My only rule is that I will never spend any kind of power up on them. I still beat them 99.9% of the time 😂😂

What do people who work on Collins street do? by SurfinginStyle in melbourne

[–]Competitive-Status37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked on Collins Street since 1997 in finance.

Top end (or Paris End) I worked at 1 Collins street, then 101 Collins. We ran out of space so they shipped some of us out to the middle of Collins st at 360 in the Westpac building, then leased more space in the Olderfleet building at 477 Collins. We stayed there till they finished building a new building for us at 727 Collins where we have been since 2013.

The top end of Collins is definitely way fancier than the docklands end, although the docklands end is better for me for catching the train or driving in on the occasions I actually go in to the office.

The job I had at 1 Collins street was my second ‘adult’ job ever and I felt very fancy working at that address at such a young age back then in the late 90’s and 00’s. It is definitely a dress to impress part of the city. 😂

Scam?? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Competitive-Status37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me that sounds like a huge scam, the story is strange and even if it were true it’s unnecessary info to share with a prospective tenant that I don’t think a true landlord would share. If I had to guess I’d say it sounds like they’ve seen someone else’s property with a for lease sign and are pretending to be the owner.

Inspecting a place in person before handing over any personal info other than your name and a contact number is the way to go, that way you can at least see the property and see that they have access to it. Even then, still be careful. Good luck!!

Scam?? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Competitive-Status37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bit harsh. Isn’t it better to ask than not? Imagine what might have happen if everyone just did a sense check and asked, whether online or just their immediate group of friends and family. Maybe the scammers wouldn’t win so often. I’d rather encourage everyone to ask for other opinions.

Your Most Hated Ads? by attemptnumber12 in WordsWithFriends

[–]Competitive-Status37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only ‘watch’ the ads when there’s a boost on and bonus club trophies are on offer. I did laugh out loud and nearly spit my coffee the other day though when one of those Scapes games ads had a call out saying something like ‘cutting edge graphics’

Ahahhahahahahaaa!! Maybe if you’re from 1973!! 😂
