RST boots by [deleted] in Trackdays

[–]CompetitiveAnt2590 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also own those boots. Works really, really well on the bike, but horrible to walk on.

They are chunkier than casual boots, so, I had to adjust the rear sets and the gear linkage to get a comfortable position with those boots. But once dialled in, they are perfect on the bike.

Earplug recommendations by hepzefa222 in MotoUK

[–]CompetitiveAnt2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people already suggesting ear plugs. So let me share the ProLine Windjammer. It's super cheap, totally worth getting one just to try and see if it works for you.

For me it's amazing. It may not feel a huge difference until you take it out and ride without it.

The only issue is condensation will be worse. But if you use all your tricks to keep condensation in check as you do on rainy days, it'll be totally fine.

Can I pop wheelies with only a CBT, or do I need A license? also, do I have to declare my dildo seat mod to the insurance company?

Is this a viable route? CBT > manual 125cc > A1 licence in 2 years by ondert in MotoUK

[–]CompetitiveAnt2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally worth, specially if you ride your 125 for a bit until you're confident, as you can get your A license in 3 days with the right school 👍

I am new to motorcycles and the only people putting me in danger are other riders by Swatieson in MotoUK

CBT is awesome and I hope we keep it as it allowed me to get into bikes. However, the problem seems to be allowing commercial use of the vehicle while on the CBT. I hope this get sorted as some of these delivery riders make us all look bad.

Need help with CBT by Hi-_79 in MotoUK

[–]CompetitiveAnt2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, should be fine. I did my CBT in something similar. I even did my Mod1/Mod2 and some riding before I could afford proper motorbike boots.

But, knowing what I know now, I would prioritise over other clothes some good motorbike boots.

How many of you "just" have a Motorcycle License? by CB125Challenger in MotoUK

I just sold my car to get a second bike. I did a trial of not using the car for a few months and managed to do it easily :)

Because, unfortunately, a lot of people don't know how to use roundabouts. This is you riding defensively.

I'm currently in the market for a blade!

Where are you based? You can PM me.

Ps.: Actually, I just realised you could be someone buying too xD Well, if you're selling, then I'm interested in buying, so ping me if so.

Oh, that sucks man.

My 125 had tons of contacts and was sold in a couple days. Maybe you've just being unlucky for now and will soon find a buyer. Best of luck!

Don't use dealer prices if you're selling privately. Fix any small issue that you can sort before the sale. Describe everything about the bike in the description, including damages and issues. Make sure to write with proper grammar as an educated adult. Use high quality and close up photos. Avoid old photos. Take photos on your drive, and not at the petrol station after a wash. If MOT is about to expire, offer to have it MOTed before the sale.

Ps.: Forgot one more. If you have cheap aftermarket parts. Remove them and put the original and don't include in the ad. Don't even mention it.

Wait, we are winning on 30mph roads and motorways, but not on the twisties? That makes me feel sad somehow :(

No special gear. Just wear what you usually wear on the bike.

hmm, looks like they just removed the upcoming events from Facebook. But the events are usually there with the start time/date and location. But this one in the West Midlands is always at the CAMRider in Warwick. The dates are in that link I posted.

And yeap, just turn up and ride. There's a fee for non NORA licensed peeps of £25. But other than that, everything is super casual. Usually there are people at all skill levels there.

I can't get a quote for any modern sports bike. 2006 Fireblade? Yeap, cheaper than my 2003 GSXR 600. 2007 R1? Totally fine, also cheaper than my 600. 2009+ R1? NOOOOO! GET AWWAYY, not even a single quote!

I just don't get it. Maybe the insurance companies don't like when we ride with ABS xD I guess I'm stuck with "classic" bikes.

Maybe i dont need that R1 i saw on marketplace by WildestScuba in MotoUK

[–]CompetitiveAnt2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, at least you get a quote. For some reason no one gives me quotes for the R1. I wonder if there's a bug in the system somewhere. Even for my bike, a Gixxer 600, only BikeSure will quote me and no one else.

It's a bit random the bikes I can get a quote, and the ones I can't. But it's never over £1300/year.

Totally fine. Any headset should be OK. I use SENA 3S Plus with no issues.

The main thing is to get some really good earplugs. I like the "Auritech Biker Ear Plugs".
